Eckalina | SC | FARMBUILD [Amazing dps and IQ/IR] | Dual Spark | Low Life Mode - RF |

For the record, here's my experience with this build (all in Anarchy league).

1. Levelling.

Spoiler
I had accumulated a few low level uniques and a selection of gems from other characters, so I got to level 31 with Goldrim, Blackheart, Perandus Blazon, Sadima's Touch, Wanderlust, Quill Rain + Broadstroke (plus whatever other equipment I found along the way), Projectile Weakness, Skeletons & Zombies. I levelled Spark, Fork, Faster Casting, Spell Totem and aura gems at the same time. Quill Rain became less effective around Act 3 Normal, so I switched to FP+LMP and a single spork totem. I mainly let the totem kill things while I acted as its bodyguard, freezing anything that tried to hit it. That's probably not as effective as doing damage myself, but helped me get used to the playstyle.

2. Dual totem (Docks, Normal).

Spoiler
I switched to dual totem after a couple of docks runs - they seemed a bit weak at first and required a bit of meat shielding from the minions, but adding 4L Goldwyrm and 4L Aurseize beefed things up and provided a nice IQ/IR boost. I levelled up until docks runs were providing < 20% XP each time, then raced through to end of Act 3. One of the easiest Piety fights I've ever had. Spork tooltip DPS for the Piety fight was 37.5.

Cruel was pretty straightforward. I needed to do a bit of kiting with totems against large groups or single strong mobs, and my only death in Cruel was to the Vaal Oversoul. Piety died in a couple of minutes. I sheltered behind columns for the Ice Spear form, and kept up the minions to give the totems maximum opportunity to cast and never came close to dying. Piety had a strong preference for attacking minions and totems. Spork tooltip DPS for that Piety fight was 218.

3. Dual totem low-life (Fellshrine Ruins, Merciless).

Spoiler
In Merciless I experimented with low-life while levelling in Fellshrine Ruins, and switched from a wand to Redbeak. Once I felt comfortable without my life buffer I grabbed the Zealot's Oath passive. Switching to low-life provided around 40% extra tooltip DPS. Easy fight against the Oversoul, just kept recasting totems and minions while running around the outside. The Oversoul almost always used its lightning laser against the totems, which suited me fine. After getting through to Act 3 I got to the Docks as fast as possible. Alchemists (poison bomb chaos damage) required some caution in the sewers, and a Staunching flask was mandatory for the Marketplace.

4. Dual totem low-life RF (Docks, Merciless).

Spoiler
After a few docks runs I tested out RF, and discovered that I wasn't far off sustaining it - I was losing about 10 ES/sec, but with 2K ES that's 2-3 minutes before turning it off and letting the ES recover. I then respecced out of the life nodes northeast of Ancestral Bond and put those points into Elemental Adaptation, and the drop in life combined with the extra 2% max fire resist let me sustain RF (approximately 500 life and 2100 ES), with a nice boost in damage. Spork tooltip DPS went from 286 (base) to 380 (low-life) to 680 (low-life RF).

Switched from Redbeak to Moonsorrow, which increased tooltip dps by about 5%.

Up to that point I was running Purity on life, Clarity and Discipline on mana. I bought Malachai's Simula, and began to run Purity+Haste on life (with a Level 7 Reduced Mana gem), Clarity and Discipline on mana. Tooltip DPS immediately after that increased to 300 (base), 415 (low-life and auras), 723 (activate righteous fire). That's overkill for farming Docks, so I swapped out Faster Casting for Item Rarity (only have a 4-link for the Spork Totem at the moment).

After playing several other characters and struggling to accumulate gear I love this build, especially how cheap it is to get going. I bought Springleaf, Redbeak, Wondertrap, Aurseize, Goldwyrm, Moonsorrow and Malachai's Simula for a total of 15 chaos (probably overpaid for Aurseize but it was already 4L which saved me the bother) and that's more than enough to farm Merciless Docks. Since Moonsorrow and Malachai's are nice to have rather than essential, and Goldwyrm was primarily used while levelling then swapped for Wondertrap, the core of a viable Docks farming build (Wondertrap, Redbeak, Springleaf and Aurseize) was only 9 chaos.

Since then I've levelled up the gems a bit, and currently have tooltip DPS of 819 (with Item Rarity) or 1.1k (with Faster Casting). I currently switch between farming Docks and Lunaris 2/3, which is pretty safe so long as I keep totems between myself and Kole/Spinecrack and don't get too cocky. Every now and then I have a go at Piety (typically immediately after levelling up!), which isn't too bad. Last time I had 4 deaths: all but one of those was due to lag. The Piety drops don't seem noticeably better than Docks/Kole/Spinecrack, so I don't think it's worth the extra time it takes.

I occasionally go into a map, but without Shavronne's Wrappings that can be a gamble since any chaos damage is pretty much an instant death. With an extremely cautious approach it's possible to do some L66 maps though (Dunes and Grotto seem OK).

I'm still a very long way off being able to afford to buy Shavs, so at the moment I'm trying to farm or chance one. I thought I'd done it on my first Docks LL RF run when a unique Occultist's Vestment dropped, but it turned out to be that Infernal Mantle!
Found my SC currency generator! Thank you :)
So. Many. Alt. Exiles.
How did you guys stack many MF (2 advarius -40%) and keeping all elemental resis at 79%?

I cant run map mod with -20% resist / -50% player ES regen, it make me cant hold Righteous Fire

is this build still viable??
Is rise of the phoenix unique better than springleaf for this build?

generally no...you need much much more ES with RoTP to sustain RF and even if you could u wont have like any ES regen (unless u running shavs ring)
Somebody happy with the new iir/iiq and blood gem change?

Im not so glad to hear that iir/iiq will be less effective and the auras will need more Mana now. It took me a long time to farm all the items which I am wearing now and now I have to rebuy probably new items again with this change. I am playing this build cause im not rich like others, I hope it will not be nerfed too much. But the good thing is there will be more farm areas like the Docks with a high area level.

I'm honestly afraid about the auras cost increase.

Vitality, discipline, purity, clarity. I don't see how i could drop anyone of these :|

We will see...
Hello guys!

After playing for a while I thought I could improve my gear/DPS along with MF.
The problem is, I don't know where to start.

Firstly, I think it'd be good to link my gear so you guys can take a look at it :)

Weapon:

Helmet:

Offhand:

Amulet:

Chest:

Ring:

Ring:

Boots:

Belt:

Gloves:

for activating RF I use a wand with +2 to fire gems and empower lvl 2

To be a bit more precise: I don't know what to replace without sacrificing dex/str to still meet my gem requirements and be able to maintain RF (fire resist, es regen) :(
Currently I'm at 163/51 IIR/IIQ, which is pretty low I think.
My Totem Tooltip DPS is at 1.8k+ (with RF lvl 23 from my 2nd wand + empower gem), which is "okay" I think.
My ES (with Discipline) is at ~2.6k, which is pretty low imo.
Resists: 77% fire, -3% cold, 12% lightning

Since I don't have shav's and don't wanna go CI (<3 RF), all I do at the moment is either farm Docks or Lunaris 2/3.

Your help would be really appreciated! :)

If you guys decide to help me in some way and need any more information, feel free to ask for it and I'll add it.

Yes I hope that the mana cost will not be too expensive, I have not enough mana for this Man Cost Change :D

Hehe that reminds me on the last 3 Occulust vestement which I have chanced. I got 3 times an infernal Mantle shit unique :D . My first expression was "yeah finaly I made it I got my Shavronne" lol then I saw it was an Infernal Mantle ^^ . Damn why there are 2 Occulust Vestement Uniques now :P they should remove that
