No because you are casting it on yourself. Makes no sense to reflect that, does it? Most curses are harmless and the few dangerous ones can just be removed with flasks. As soon as I grab one of the new unique flasks, I'll change my current setup.



Nothing too great there but I'm mostly rushing through content to get to the boss.

Edit: The new flask is perfect for me as I am pretty much constantly casting conductivity or new totems to move them closer to bosses / new mobs.

there is a bug, currently your tooltip is half of what it is in reality.

1000 tooltip dps is decent DPS. your dps in-game will be a lot higher because of spork mechanics

Could you expand on that please? I know spark has a 50% damage effectiveness, which halves your dps. How would your tooltip damage be half of what we dish out? Unless you're referring to crits / shock crits.

11.1 had a bug where the DPS shown was wrong. swapping out chest piece (off then on) fixed it. But the 11.1b patch fixes this. Check again, it should be higher.

I've been running this with RF for a bit now finally. I'm lvl 71 been on RF for several levels. Yes, my ES regens with RF. Whenever I find a stupid ruby flask I'll swap out a life potion for that since I don't use them except to dispel RF which is extremely rare. It'll have the same overall effect if ever needed.

Here's my gear and my tree and what I believe my goal to be at level 80.
250IIR / 27IIQ (want to increase IIQ if I either a) get a 6link or b) chrom my chest for gem use

I have ~880dps with RF. Health around 620 ES around 2k. Full resist except lightening is low (and obviously chaos).

I don't like the run to Troll's Blood either. 11 points there I could use to strengthen my ES with the center nodes. Heck, with a better chest piece I wouldn't even need all 11.

Crit isn't what it use to be. With Ecka's build spark was base 6% which gave an overall about 20% chance for spark to crit. After 11.0 spark went to 4% which dropped it to about 13.2% chance to crit. So, I will take away crit nodes. So long as total crit is 150% you'll recieve a 10% chance to crit and that's close enough to 13% that I believe increasing my base damage more than makes up for 3% chance (3 out of 100).

level 80 target (have to consider this with current gear)

notice I take the 10 dex near nullification path and go down crit not taking the movement speed node.

level 85 target with current gear


Here's something I'm contemplating IF I ever get a better chest piece and don't need those middle ES nodes

the difference on this would be -4% cast speed and -10 dex but the increase would be to crit and crit multiplier, chance and 6% lightening damage.

Yes, crit I said wasn't huge BUT multiplier isn't crit chance. Multiplier is how much More damage you do when you do crit. So, ~10% crit chance (likely a bit more with the node in shadow to get to cast speed) that means I increased my damage by 70% mutliplier (throatseeker) on ever 1 out of 10 sparks. That's big.


Don't forget, if you need more resist while leveling up there is a 6% all and 15% fire just below inner force.

I never heard of that, will check later.

If you value crit multiplier, why are you skipping Throatseeker? That's 70% multiplier for 5 points, which seems like a lot, but then again nothing else is nearby that has not been taken before.

It does take throatseeker in the last build. Which is why I mention it there.
I value survivability first, base dps next and crit DPS increase comes after you attain both. Which is why my level 71 is where it is right now. The level 80 and first 85 are based on me using current gear (If I'm continually unlucky in getting an upgrade)

1 orb of chance, 1 occultist vestment, I started chancing them today. It was my first try ever. I'm not sure what to do now, will try to 5L or 6L it and then either sell or see if I can make RF work.

What are the odds, they reduced the chances of getting Shav just earlier today..

I consider it good Karma, considering I die regularly in the evening to major lag (>2s [seconds, you read that right] lag spikes).

Is this build still viable as of today? I'm close to level 50, and I'm finding out if I want to be an efficient farmer my frost aura/everything in cold passive strategy thus far won't work. I know there was a patch recently and this was posted in April, does anything need altered or can I still follow this to the T? Don't wanna waste more passives.
^yes, this will still work though it's gone through some varying evolution.
