It's virtually impossible to run faster to Vaal or Piety than to Merveil. With a teleport just before cavern of anger and knowing where to go, you can run to Merveil within 1 minute, 3 tops. As long as we don't get teleport for POE, I don't see any way to make Vaal runs viable.
Sure, Piety drops better yellows but for uniques the Merveil run is probably more efficient as you also run into a few bosses (depending on your luck, always a daughter of Merveil and there's a few trash bosses). " Possibly. I don't have any major drawbacks from not spending these points, though. It's just that POE gets crazy when you look at how the cities are populated. I see witches at level 50 running around with Soul Mantle (which is lvl49), there's quite a few Soul Mantle wearer when I'm online. Not that that's a bad thing but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that totem based builds are too strong right now and simply have to be nerfed. The ES, RF and shock nerf only made this build slightly less effective. Spark doesn't even have to be touched for that. Hello darkness my old friend.. " Im a bit confused? Does 6k es 3k dps seem unbelievable to you? That's not even good gear in my opinion. (above average but not good). I respecced my shadow to discharge or I would take screenshots for you. He had 4,692 dps and roughly 6.5k es before respeccing. Do you have any idea what you are doing to your character by using RoTP/Springleaf? The shield I use has 500 more es, 100 more crit and 59 more spell damage. Lets say an average crit node is 20. So thats 100/20 = 5 nodes Lets say an average spell damage node is 8. So thats 59/8 = 7 nodes 500 es on a shield translates to about 2000 more es. An 8% node is worth about 120 es. 2000/120 = 16 nodes Thats a total of 28 nodes. Thats a very rough total but, let that sink in a second. Yes, 28 nodes of dps and es better than RoTP all while getting a higher es which helps sustain RF. For all the people wearing springleaf/RoTP this is why you want to not use those shields if you can help it. Or at least make it a goal to sustain RF without those crutches. Same goes for eye of chayula to a lesser extent. " I understand andvarius isn't cheap but please get rid of at least one if not both rings. You can thank me later. For all the positives the ring has it does a job on resists. It's hard to farm with 2 andys from my experience (even before the resistance nerfs). Get a 500es 5L and Moonsorrow. I wouldn't bother with shavs unless you do maps a lot. " You can farm Lunaris efficiently. You need dps which means you cant use things like RotP or Springleaf. You need a dps shield. Maligaro is very good as well. " Nothing personal but you need to be absolutely certain of what you are saying or you're just going to be giving bad advice which people will follow because they are new to the class. Inner force is a must for end game. You should do the math. It is not a "slight" advantage because it buffs the bonus from RF. Last edited by cloud9xx#0913 on Jun 25, 2013, 8:12:13 PM

" you can probably sustain already with 300es chest cause you're using eye and springleaf (Assuming capped fire res, vitality gem and life regen node). I dont want to do the math. its on the first page if you are interested. Just dont forget to multiply the burn damage/second from RF by 1.18 if you have inner force. @Cloudx99 (No way am I going to quote that post)
I did do the math: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/437298/page/1 Granted the advantages from Inner Force are "viable" early late game, I just believe that it should be done very late game. I am in full compliance with your statement, I just think it's best left to late game LvL ~80 to 85. I think that being able to use the four skill points to attain fire res, freeing up your character from gear dependency and then transferring over to a dps/ES shield is fundamental. Granted each character is different with what resistances their gear does provide them, however I am just using passive resists and then refunding them based on my current gear (I find this to be the most efficient). I find gear dependency something that can truly cripple a build and if the character is not able to sustain RF with IF buff or is only able to sustain it with RotP/SpringLeaf problematic. I would like to see screenshots of your ratio, I only doubt it because I am assuming you sacrificed IIQ/IIR to attain such high DPS/ES to attain it. @MyTeacherTouchesMe I stated that running in a group it would be faster as you only need to progress through 3 levels, a group of four spamming quick silver flasks should be able to spread out and complete each level. |

" I cant screenshot you the stats because im in discharge right now. I had 110iiq/250iir with 4,692 and 6.5k es. I've played with people who post in this forum (or at least used to). They can vouch for what they have seen. I would say a full lunaris 3 + piety run takes 4 minutes (discharge build) and you probably wouldnt believe that either so here is a video for you. Dual spark is about 6 minutes with a similiar loot pattern (longer if you loot more like i usually do). http://youtu.be/6NHfejGihqI |

" I kind of just skimmed the end briefly because the patch just ended and I want to play but at 53 seconds you just ran by a 5L blue Golden Plate? Anyhow.. I haven't spent much time researching RF builds but I am looking for a MF build and I am in some trade where I might get a 98% RotP. Can anyone price this in Onslaught? I thought it used to be like 1-1.5 exalts but seems it might be like half of one now. I was told it is no good anymore with the HP/max resist nerfs, but IDK. |

Although I haven't ever played with Cloud9xx, I have seen his gear he posted a few pages back. While I think he's being quite modest (or naive) in saying his gear is "above average and not good", his proclaimed ES and damage is not unreasonable given the stats of a few items (shield namely). In comparison, I think my anarchy sporker could produce similar numbers if I had access to his jewelry and shield.
I would advise doing a little research before you call the claims of others as "bullshit", especially if they've been a frequent poster in the thread (and others like it). Last edited by Mouchi#1867 on Jun 26, 2013, 1:01:53 AM

Hey.
Since the last patch, with : "Spells with Damage Effectiveness no longer have their own damage affected by Damage Effectiveness. Damage values on these skills have been updated to reflect this." Righteous Fire is not giving more dps on the tooltip of my spark. So we're going to drop RF ? My dps is almost divised by twice... It suck... Really... What are we going to do ? IGN @Gutssss
