Post aura rage here. I will lock any other aura thread I see.

Well, I could become a Rogue Exile...apparently THEY got to keep some pretty nice auras. Is this GGG's way of encouraging wayward behaviour? Unless one steps out of line they are doomed to walk through Wraeclast wearing the Hula Hoops of Civility and Order? Bah.

I want them back too cuz the most time im soloing and i dont need performance that hard.

Old Auras: Apparently rushed through & ended up laggy but aesthetically pleasing making your chara feel powerful

New Auras: Apparently rushed & designer ran out of ideas, not laggy but also not aesthetically pleasing making your chara feel bland & boring

New New Auras: Probably rushed & designer will struggle for ideas, possibly laggy but may bring back that powerful feel...but you have to pay for the privilege.

Seeing as this is the only aura thread, I'll repost my 2cents:

New aura's look 90% better than old Auras.

Only shitty looking one is Purity. My god that thing looks terrible.

Like. Unwithstandably terrible. I sersiously hope they redo that one.

Oh, and Vitality might look better if it was a longer swipe rather than a small blotch. Look up Enso on google images.

Hmm I could definitely use that enso thing as a texture. Cheers haha. Painting thinks like this in photoshop can be a real pain.

Yeah, I know what you mean.

You can "cheat" into it anyways. (with Illustrator at least)
I'm more of a photoshop guy, but if you create a circle marque in illustrator... or shape I think it is, then go into the different predetermined brushes, you can select a blotchy brush and then add a stroke around the shape/marque. Then you have to edit some variable... I can't remember, I guess it's one of those simulate pressure sort of things, and it'll make it gradually go from a hard blotch to a tiny dot.

I vote for graphics option and free beer!

After playing for awhile I think new aura is not that bad- still lacks iconic feelings compare to old ones, but more fit the current aura stacking meta. I think its an overall good solution to temporarily alleviate lag issue.

I agree, purity is god awful. I even tweak my passive tree to grab more elemental resist nodes so I don't have to use purity.

The rest, I'm getting used to slowly. When running multiple auras, I would even said they look cool together (think hatred, anger, wrath, clarity, etc) :)
