Game Mechanics Q&A
Hello,
Can you please provide us with a full list of search commands for stash tabs? Thank you |

Why does placing the mouse cursor too far in the upper left or upper right corner of the screen prevent the usage of movement/skills? Is there a maximum line trace distance for finding click targets and the upper left/right corner are too far away from the camera?

Ahoy Grinding Gear Games!
I sincerely apologize if my questions are not game mechanic related or have already been asked in previous Q&A - kinda hard imho to differentiate between "rules" or "rulesets" and design of a world. Seen some obvious game design questions, but maybe not so obvious when I'm talking. 1) How/why exactly did you guys make Corrupted Blood work like Bleed and simultaneously not? And work also for spells? I remember back when I read from a GGG employee that the bleed mechanic is too scuffed and the gears (hah! Pun not intended) behind it are too complicated to make it work for spells. Now it seems you worked around it by seperating corrupted blood from bleed. Is this something you always imagined to make or did the thought of spell bleed just gave you the idea? I like corrupted blood, but I also think it's sad that you can't rely on bleed modifiers (and keystones) and instead have to go for physical modifiers. Any glimpse to the future if this might change? PoE2? Or is this the ULTIMATive answer to spell bleed archetype? 2) While we're at it, I only recognized recently with Reap: Why exactly is there a difference between "attack damage" and "physical damage"? Balance issues? I understand one thing is specific and the other is global. Why I ask: At the beginning of the league I was theorycrafting my leaguestarter build and there were 4 options for me using Reap as my main skill: Inquisitor Battlemage, Hierophant Brand, Scion Necro/Duelist and Gladiator "Bleed"storm Reaper. Utilizing General's Cry with Bloodstorm to get enemies to bleed and scale damage with "increased damage on bleeding enemies". And maybe using Ironwill to scale strength towards spell. Now, Bleedstorm Gladiator Reaper would have outright been trash if I had taken it - which I'm grateful to myself. Maybe could work with Spellslinger, but I'm not a fan (not endgame viable imho). But my initial thought process was that there's a lot of keystones that increase damage against bleeding enemies and one gladiator ascendancy node that lets enemies who were bleeding explode. However, those keynodes are to 99% bound to "attacks against bleeding enemies", and Reap and other physical spells do not count towards it. Is there a reason? Mechanically or by design choice? If I was rich I might go for a unique that changes this behaviour.. just sayin, could be helluva fun (or a nightmare to code - I'm a dev myself so I know how this might be scary just thinking about it). Funnily enough there is one keystone that works for both damages: "Cleaving" that says "30% increased Damage with Hits and Ailments against Bleeding Enemies". Enabling that seems to increase DPS (Hit & DoT) minimally. 3) Is it mechanically possible with a keystone or unique to turn your minions to enemies or make them targetable by your own skills/hexes (friendly fire)? If an atlas was setup to not have certain tier (eg t1) but when a map suppose to drop rolled T1, the system will void it and up the chance for next map drop to be a little more likely to drop what we actually have in the atlas.
So my question is, how much does this chance suppose to increase and are they stackable? | |
Do Cartographers scarabs affect blighted map drops from blighted chests?

Why do we still have to do the same 10 Acts when doing alts? I'm so bored of it that I usually only play 1 character per league. My suggestion is that Maps should scale in level and waypoints are shared for all alts.

quick niche question:
1: can arctic armor benefit from being linked to bone chill support, and if so does the chilled ground count for the bonechill and/or just the "chill an enemy when hit" part? 2: when it comes to chill, does a "stronger" chill override a weaker one, even if it's reached my character's current "max" chill? so ie my skitter bots chill vs the chill on my pure cold damage attack~ 3: if #1 is possible, then how would it be affected by #2? thanks! <3 |
