just started on this build, I'm guessing lower lvls is going to be quite tough to start with
My question is, at what lvl would you consider reasonable to start looking for decent gear..

Well, starting off any gear with helpful stats will really go a long way. There are some high spell damage weps that might carry early on or more ES / mana regen items. If EK is a bit costly, freezing pulse or spark are real effective skills at lower level. Most characters though shouldn't have much problem til maybe 20-25 then it could slow down a bit. Life/es/res gear will help you survive and spell damage / cast speed is best early on imo. If you can get lucky with a couple decent drops for this build early on it shouldn't be too bad. Try to use your zombies and decoy totem, they really do help. :)
well the build seemed to be getting better at lvl 44, but walked into a room and BAM, dead instantly. I dont think this build is suited to survive desyncs. But it was fun while it lasted I guess.

Ahh, sorry to hear that. Hard to prevent desync in general against some monsters. And for lower level might be a bit harder to itemize the hp/es/res gear. As mentioned earlier it's really suited for farming imo, it kills quick and doesn't rely completely on gear for dps. Leading with a totem is great, that's the only thing I can suggest to help prevent those unknown desync smashes. A lot of enemies register damage before you see them or their projectiles turn invisible after travelling so far. Stack hp / es and rush the ES nodes if you want to be a bit more tanky on the lower levels.

I really don't have much experience building for races or for mass builds in general, this character I just had a lot of fun with and wanted to share. Not everyone plays the same pace or can dedicate the same amount of time to playing and learning at once so each person will still develop their character differently.

Added 73 Canyon vid w/ Jess(gf). She's curser and trap / fireball. :P
Seems like you can fit a lot of IIQ/IIR into this build without gimping yourself. Might have to give this a shot.

It's pretty fun. You can really avoid a lot of damage just using the totem and curse. Just have to get into the habbit to lead with it on tougher maps. EK scales great and doesn't require a lot of supports to kill quick or that great of gear. Gear to help you survive will make it easier though. Fitting in the IIQ IIR is a nice bonus. ;)
quite difficult to level using EK. Eating up way to much mana and bear trap doesnt do that much damage early on. hope it will get better as i level up.
^Oh yes it will. Level 74 now and going FAST. I use Eth Knives/Spark/Blood Rage (left/middle/right click)and Haste+Discipline. If there are really fast + tough mobs I use temp chains or skeletank too.

Beast guide, thank you <3
