1.1UPDATED- ETHEREAL KNIVES CRIT & MAP GUIDE - ES TANK w/ CHAOS INOC- LVLING INFO + PASSIVES + VIDS

I really like this build, gonna try it, thanks for posting!

Btw in your guide you mentioned leveling unique items like sadimas, wanderlust, lazwar etc. Any other uniques you tested/think will be really good for easier/faster leveling of this build?

EDIT:
Did you try Pierce support gem instead of Fork?

Never tried out Pierce. It could be helpful to spread the aoe damage. For leveling uniques, these are really good:

Perandus is good too. There might be a few more with helpful stats but these will be so amazing for mana / mana regen etc.. I might be missing a unique from these posted but these are ones I always throw on new characters.

Okey, thanks man. I had all those unique items and I am for now lv24 - I have a lot of fun and I think I never dropped below half hp, stuff just dies easily.

I have another question tho, I am leveling this char with an idea to farm and stack IIR/IIQ as much as possible, I am thinking about the items for my "final" build to farm etc.

What do you think about http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Heartbreaker ? Gives you Culling on EK (which is really nice for maps if you are invited as MF), has decent enough crit and spell dmg. Any reason I shouldn't buy this? Wanted to check with someone before I spend 2-4ex. Thanks! :)

Also of all possible farming builds I've seen - to me your build seems like most interesting, fun and cheap (for leveling) build that can transition into heavy IIR/IIQ farmer. All others I've seen had TERRIBLE early game, generally terrible leveling experience and most of them required parties for everything - even for farming.

Maybe it's not bad idea to make a list of good END GAME uniques/type of rares for IIR/IIQ for your guide. If you happen to have list of items good both for this build and farm - please, share. :)

Using this build as my first in PoE, currently level 73 on merciless. I'm not sure if it is my gear, or i'm just playing it wrong, but i just can't take a hit at all. If i don't do enough dps to kill everything before it hits me, i just die. Any suggestions on what it could be? My ES is pretty low, still around 2k resists are all around 70. Seems my armor is really low but that is normal i think? Not sure what to do but i'm having a really hard time soloing to try to find more gear, thanks in advance.

Heartbreaker is pretty good if you are going to be the mfer in a group getting the last hits. For the IIR / IIQ gear on end game farming, there are a few uniques that can help a lot with it but they are still luxury items. If you are able to fit them into your build they can provide a lot in that way.

These + iir / iiq gem are huuge for that kind of stat.

Are you able to post your gear? It could just be gear needing to be upgraded a bit. 2k is decent ES if you aren't running discipline for the level. Some spell damage will help scale EK more to do more damage. What all do you have on your link?

This is my gear, not sure what piece i really need to upgrade right now
Too lazy to read the entire thread --- what do you think about Ghost reaver + life leech gem? Without +str from gear, build in first post can support lvl 15 LL gem = 7.3% LL.

I'm planning to create a shadow and use this guide as it seems very viable with self-found items. I already have some quite good items stashed.

Hey there, unfortunately +phys does not apply to ek. Just spell damage / anything buffing spells. There are passives and a few items with flat %phys damage increase which does buff it though. Ghost reaver + life leech gem is really good for the build to leech and help sustain your ES.

Hmm, if you are dying you might want to get more defensive stats and possibly drop the iir. The ES pieces are pretty decent. Maybe an es/res belt could be helpful right now. An option might be to get a cheaper high ES chest and use your 4l on a different piece. That higher es, say 400 or 500 will scale out to be huuge. They might not be too pricey without links. Do you need the res from purity or would you be able to use discipline aura?

Sry for the late response.
Without purity i would heavily need cold resist and probably a bit more fire but my lightning resist is okay. However if i use discipline i can't use the spell totem skeletons due to mana, which is really my only chance right now of surviving certain elites and such. Also what is the easiest way to find gear you are looking for, i've been wanting to spend some of my currency but i have no idea what anything is worth/don't know where to browse for item.

Also should i be prioritizing gear or xp at this point? I can do piety runs with maybe a couple of deaths for better loot, but i can farm docks pretty safe even though the xp is getting a bit dated.
