i've got 616 hp and 730ES, 2012DPS EK and 21/73/40 resistances.
Monsters killing me so fast 8( i'm 53 and trying to end lunaris on cruel.
please advice me what to change.
or may be i should just wait until merc and it's normal for this moment?

I'm lvl 50 atm, EK dps 1.2k with IIQ and IIR, maxed resistances and around 1.4k hp.
I am not grabbing any ES nodes until higher level, so i get some hp nodes and hp gear for leveling, helps with the survivability

Ok, I use Hatered, and for now i'm using Discipline(with it i have about 1150 ES)
And my gear -


I can use purity+discipline, and this way i can leave long enough, but i can't use spell totem with sceletons in this case so i got no enough mana for it 8(

Hey terrex, I recently leveled a Shadow and followed your guide for the most part.

Main reason for following your guide was your ability to sub in IIQ/IIR without gimping yourself.

Currently lvl 64.

I ONLY just realised that in Dominion IIQ isnt available.
Luckily I didnt try to buy items that accomodated that gem lol.

So what would you recommend i do?
Use another gem altogether?
Make up the IIQ in other slots?

I'll mostly be farming with my brother who is a Witch or groups. Else ill solo.

Would it be wise/worth to get Culling Strike in some way to make sure my IIR/IIQ gets the kill?

Loving this build. Only thing is i shouldve gotten Spell Totem + Skeletons ALOT earlier. The tanking ability and saftey gap i get is beyond measure.
Tack on Blind and nothing touches me. Yet to use/get Temporal Chains. Can only imagine it'd be overpoweringly good haha.

Howdy and damn this IIQ change lol. :( It is safe to use a DPS support instead of the IIQ gem or even Culling. Culling might not work so well though depending on your pace and how fast monsters are getting cleared. If you find though the monsters are often sitting a bit low it could clean them up pretty good. The IIQ nerf for the league really sucks, trying to think of the best replacement. It is also pretty crazy with some of the utility skills / spells can do in this game, combined together you can keep a lot of damage reaching you. :D You could replace the spot with a more offensive gem, power charge on crit, faster cast, increased crit / crit damage.

Hmm, checking out your gear you could definitely use a few ES upgrades. Sometimes it can be rough depending on what gear is available for the time being but if you are able to get a couple upgrades with higher ES it will scale greatly. You got a couple decent pieces of gear with helpful stats but around your level it is a bit out leveled. If you message me in game I can always take a quick look at what I got to maybe help out. I might have a ring or maybe some ES piece / wand to help. Terrex or SevenBananas to add, should be on sometimes throughout the day. Big thing would just be getting up your ES and trying to hit max res. If you can, maybe try to drop minion life attached to the skeletons to see if you are still able to cast it having the two auras up. Skeleton totem can divert attention soo well and give you the breathing room you may need to progress.

Been playing this char till act 3 start normal. Act 1 was a little rough with no fork/faster proj. Act 2 went really well and I felt like I could handle pretty much any map as I was going through it. However I have now hit a brick wall at Act 3. If there's a mob of more than 2-3, fork EK with those crits can destroy them. Though single targets are pretty hard to take down, as are any blues/yellows/oranges. I also just got to the point where I can't really carry on with my only quest (Piety in crematorium). My gear is probably awful, but it's the best stuff I have found from drops so far. Not too sure on what to do. I haven't seen any parties yet for this Piety kill. Here's my gear:

You really could use some Spell damage / ES gear. A lot of your gear is only giving a tiny bit of helpful stats to you. If you are able to transition to more ES orientated gear with resistances that you need. You could definitely bump up your DPS with a wand / shield with spell damage, cast / crit. If your single target dps is a bit lower try dropping fork for the time and put on added fire damage. This might be a bit costly but you are also able to use mana leech at 31 which could help a lot with the mana issues.

I transitioned to a wand earlier, almost doubled my EK DPS. Just running EK+FRoj atm and Spark+Fork. Going okay for a bit. The wand has spell damage and 37% mana regen so I levelled my EK a couple. This is quite literally the best stuff I have found so far. XD Haven't been too lucky. Gonna have to try and find a Mana Leech gem and maybe a 5l chest or something for EK. Till then I'll just grind Docks and look out for a spell dam shield.

Glad to hear there was an upgrade you found. It definitely can be tough if RNG isn't that great and nothing too useful drops.. Mana leech makes a huge difference early and especially later on once you get a few supports linked to your skill. Hope you get lucky in some docks for ES gear and a shield. The monsters there aren't too troubling just be cautious of rare dogs with harder mods and big archer packs.
