hey i want to start that build and want to ask you guys will this work with low life shavronne pain att. and wondertrap? i thought of using the ghost reaver tree so you have ES leech and 30% spell dmg with pain att. and replace the iir gem with wondertrap.
or is this 100 iir not worth it for loosing the chaos immune and frenzy charges? or better buy a high es 6l armor instead of shavr. to use ES leech and the iir gem cause i would prefer more surviabillity

This is all preference and how you want to itemize. Personally don't care a single bit for shav / low life build. This is up to you on what you want to gear for. A build that requires a 20+ exalt item is a fail build imo.
Hi, I like your videos! Are you going to post more?

2 questions:

Does single target DD get better as you lvlup your chararcter and lvlup ek? At about lvl50ish right now and it seems mobs with add. life and some yellows(golems) take forever. I was using ek+fork+manaleech+fasterproj, swapped out fork for pierce and single target dd seems a little higher and like it leeches more mana, and I like the pierce over fork atm for packs. (dps says about 1k atm)

Also, my dd when in a full squad of 5-6 people seems to go down by a lot. When i'm in a squad with maybe 1 or 2 other people, it seems like I am op and killing mobs before they can even fire off an attack, but as more people come into squad, to me it seems ek's dd does not scale as well/high as other spells/attacks, and it's like I am not doing as much damage. Can I get your insight on this?

P.S. Wow that 24k dps on ek is amazing screenshot! Gratz! Someday I hope to hit that hard. I do not have much playing time and I cannot afford that gear tho, which is why I like this guide.

I can try to record some more dungeons when gf and I do them. Sometimes though it is a bit laggy for me but I will try to on anymore 70+ maps. I got a few 76+ atm as well to do, hopefully will upload those.

For single target DPS it does start to scale at about your level range and especially each time EK levels up. Having faster projectile on the link and no other support to lower it's damage really makes a big difference on the single target dps. Pierce is pretty cool, almost like a fork alternative but at the cost of no damage reduction. For the slower easier mobs you could maybe throw up projectile weakness on them or crit weakness to help with the single target damage. Each level of EK at this point adds a substantial amount of damage.

For group DPS, that is about normal on a full party. I can't say I have grouped with that many people that often to check DPS but each person in the party supposed to carry some of the weight and contribute. 2-3 might not be so noticeable for in a full party it definitely will be.
I understand fork works really well with this build.

But I was thinking like this on my possible six link

B-B-B-R-G-G

EK

Faster Projectile

Faster Casting

Life Leech ( Ghost Reaver CI build here )

Increase Critical Damage

Power Charge on critical

Added lightning DMG ( Mana Leech) I shld have enough mana regen to sustain the EK

would this be viable as well because i dont want to lose the 20% dmg reduction on fork, i feel that fork is negligible.

please advise

Interested to hear what if anything you would change on your passive tree after today's patch? My DPS dropped a bit (at lvl 51 atm) but still seems pretty effective (crits maybe)?

Keen to hear your thoughts.

(edit) Is it worth respeccing into something entirely different?

@terrex: Thank you for your reply above!

I think the dps using terrex's build will be fine. You're still taking a ton of damage/crit/cast nodes. I think the nerf was meant to keep the fat marauders from only taking life nodes while using ek/fp to play the game on easy mode.

This looks pretty good. I'd go with the first 6 listed but it might be a bit costly. Fork / Chain are nice to help spread the AoE damage but not required at all. Added lightning might not be the best but out of the 7 I would use the first 6.

This pretty much. I don't think the nerf is drastic enough to have to change much. :P

I haven't looked a lot at the passive tree yet but atm I am pretty much leaving everything as is. Since it's just a straight damage nerf it should be fine. EK was doing so much damage and scaling great. Might just take an extra cast or 2 now. :D

i don't think its a big nerf. My marauder EK friend does fine. They reduced the HP and damage of mobs. It kinda balances out. Our characters might have less ES then before but the physical damaging mobs hit for less with 0% physical reduction. I honestly think it scales in our favor. They introduced the new Rustic sash which works really well with EK builds. I think the problem now is mana consumption. I used to feel like i had infinite mana w/ leech but now i use potions here and there.

Passives that changed. The +30 intellegence skill near Witch tree is now +20 with 20% elemental damage. This could equate to a lot of extra dps if you use hrimsorrow (25% physical damage as cold) + hatred + add fire damage. Conclusion---- potential uber BUFF.

The +30 dex node near the EV/ES changed to +20 dex. and +3 faster cast. - not bad.

I play hardcore. Lvl 80.

I get Vaal pact with my build. It requires you to use an extra 6 passive skills. I sacrifice one 20% crit node, faster cast nodes. It's a variant of the ghostreaver/ your build. I got vaal pact b/c i'm scared of killing myself off of physical reflects (did it the first time around... RIP lvl 68 shadow)

Another hardcore tip is. I don't use Faster projectiles cause it might hit reflects off screen and potentially kill you. Instead i use a 40% projectile speed wand. You can Dual wand if you want. Just keep it between 40-50% projectile speed. This is around one screen length. Now you don't have to worry about fast charging reflect mobs.

Vaal pact allows you to have more accidental hits in turn greatly increasing your survivability against reflects. I can now pew pew pew with more freedom.

Great build terrex. I've stared at the tree for many hours trying to improve it but i could not. very very efficient.

Thanks a lot for this post and I appreciate the support & feedback. It's great to hear you setup a nice build for your character. This update, as always I think is a nice touch to PoE. Good balance changes at the cost of some DPS, more then worth it ayeee. =)

Faster Projectile can definitely be deadly on later levels.. In fact I think I am only using a level 7 faster proj atm on my link.

How would you set this build up for Onslaught to grab IR and US so you don't have to worry about stun locks?
