It will be way better. I played this build last league, eventually killed everything, Sirius, Maven, etc. Just afked on Al-Hezmin in the centre of his arena cause of CI. He couldn't even make a scratch.
In a matter of tank your armor numbers should grow big for Aegis Aurora and slightly after ~60k it will be almost unkillable in normal circumstances. I mean, Maven's degen and other obviously one-shot things will kill you, but nothing more. :)
But it can be really rough as starter and without currency. Even 8ex is kinda big thing for casual player during 1st week of the league.

2 small clusters self-control/ sublime forme, together 10 chaos, and a rare amulett with skill efficiencies for 15 chaos or "ashes of the stars" for 1 exalt are nice starters and alternatives.

The Ashes of the Stars amulet is gold! Picked one up with Charisma on it for 2ex. I was running HOA, Discipline, Determination & Grace before I equipped the amulet but I only *just* had enough mana to cast ball lightning and I'd be out of mana to use other skills. Was very clunky. Now with the new Amulet I have a bit more mana to play with.

Hi onigokko,

sorry for late answering. When you set the pob-configuration to the standard "tail attack" of your crawler and count 20 spiders, you are in the posted pob at lvl80 3.5M shaper damage. The problems are virulences and cyclone.

First you need urgent the jewel "the golden rule" mandatory, 1 chaos.
It will double your virulences singletarget, that means 4x the damage of HoAg singletarget. You can check it too in "checklist damage" or "jewels and clusters", "the golden rule". Best is to get it with "corrupted blood cannot be inflicted" in endgame or get that implicit on a beltjewel or replica pure talent.

Check the counter in the green HoAg - icon, you need uptime of full 50 virulences. You can switch to ball-lightnings and stormbrands for more singletarget-virulences or gemswap, like monik390 shows on page 334, singletarget cylone to stormburst. Try first only with the golden rule, in endgame for 15M you need more than your 50 virulences. Activate now 1 passive the minion-mastery "unholy might" for a big boost of damage in maps. Next upgrades are a better amulet, better awakened gems, a watcher's eye

The golden rule will solve most of your singletarget-damage-problems.

For defences please check in the pob also the tabs "mapping lvl 90 before Aul's uprising" with a cheap better amulet with skill efficiencies or ashes of the stars and a small cluster sublime form you get extreme much more tankyness. And you can improve easy, fast and cheap your flasks-setup, visit the spoiler "flasks".

I am doing the cyclone variant for mapping, and for bosses im doing the storm burst+ball lightning version that was posted from someone else.

I just dont like the self cast, but my damage seems way better now.

My defenses are a bit low, but I am more comfortable with knowing how to scale those up. I am already looking at delving and trying to get my auls, and then a ghost reaver chest.

Removed Divine Blessing, it makes the build clunky af and needs more investment in haste/hatred mana reservation and mana regen. My wet dreams of cheap cold conversion and ez haste are gone. Unfortunately, with the nerf of the hydrosphere, I lost 1m dps and some clearspeed.

Since I don't play atm, I also didn't manage to fit unholy might, so I keep it until next time.

Good to see more ppl having a better experience with the build this time tho. Congrats.
What is the point of Unbound Ailments for spiders? Does it increase the total chaos damage taken from withered? Or is it just for extra poison damage?
I and a friend are trying to come up with a different approach to the end gearing of a full block edition with wicked ward:

Spoiler

1) we take a 3 passive cluster jewel with mana reservation efficiency and Sublime form (grace 50% reservation efficiency)
2) We use Forbidden flame and flesh to have Sanctum of Thought ascendancy node instead of using 2 split personality

This allows the build to run Grace without the Aul and use the amulet "ashes of the stars". This amulet, combined with a 20% quality HoA lets us reach 70% poison chance alone, that raises to 95% if we consider the passive tree. The unreserved mana seems lower at first (around the 40-50 mark), but the Sancum of thought also halves our skill mana cost.

More on the Ashes of the Stars, it gives us more spell block chance (divergent tempest shield quality), more cooldown recovery rate on travel skills/blinks, on top of 1 more level to every active gem, Herald included

Just transitioned into this build from RF and having 2 kind of problems:

1) Armor is kinda low atm. I do get that it's the outcome from the memory vault nerf, however 23500 without flasks feels "not immortal as it was" at red maps. Any advice on how to raise my armor a bit?

2) How big of a deal ignites/burning ground actually are? More often that i would want i find myself without spiders and jar empty, and do want to pick Ryslatha minor for that. Good/bad idea?

Hi MrOger,

yes, armour is lower as in 3.15 and now around 50k buffed fullgeared.

I count it in the context:

- armour efficiency was buffed doubled, physical damage reductions of fullgeared default 50k armour is pdr of 100k former armour

- determination basearmour was buffed - we loose only 20% armour compared to memory vault total by 100% more efficiency of armour

Around only 30% of the recovery compared to 3.15 is needed with grace, buffed evasion, fullblock:

- we are fast able to get fullblock instead glancing blows (200% more ehp and less recovery needed)

- evasion and grace was buffed a lot - we now get fast 90-95% buffed evasion. That is most important - we need 40% less recovery as in 3.15 only by evasion

- wicked ward was buffed 50% around

- divine shield is best new keystone against degen and dot

- ghost dance carries in a bit recovery too

Overall: with the new helmet we loose some recovery with some lower armour, but need less recovery with fullblock and evasion, and get much damage, and get more easy manamanagement and one more aura tempestshield with fullblocks and shock-immunity and 10-15 autotriggered virulences.

Fullgeared in my experiences the tankyness is the same, in many content safer and more tanky as before, and we reach 90% more damage on top with the same defences. B.i.s. armours are much cheaper as before to get in trade, often for only 2 exalts.

Only downside I experience is that for Sirus facetanking we now need a separated skin of the lords with the "iron reflexes" especially for that fight or have to dodge like other builds.
In all other content the build is like 3.15 with double damage and cheaper price of the bodyarmour. To 3.16 are no major changes.

Perhaps with ghostdance / divine shield on the bodyarmour you get the recovery you like. With the skin of loyals you miss a bit recovery of one missing keystone. As soon as you activate grace with better manamangement and with a Rumi's Concoction you should already regret glancing blows in your set-up.

Scroll in the pob to the tree "FULLBLOCK, mapping lvl 90 before amulet aul's uprising" and to the item-tab "mappinggear lvl 70-90 before aul's uprising" to take a look at the set-up and activate "determination" manually" for the correct ehp. It will raise your tankyness by 500% and more.

2) Yes, immunity to burning ground and ignites are very, very, very important as CI. Without your es-recharge is delayed or cancelled.

Ordinary the sniper's mark auto-filling-up-buff is enough for writhing jar flask-charges. Alternatives are optimized ignite-immunities on gear (boots, ring) or a second writhing-jar-flask. I advice urgent to stay at minor pantheon abberath. I personally never had bigger issues missing writhing jar charges. Sometimes you need to wait some seconds until they fill up, but it was for me almost never that much that I would prefer to choose a second writhing jar.
