Unofficial Path of Exile Mac Client - Download - v.2 Released

One Other User is having the Invite Crash problem.

I can't seem to figure out the cause of it. I'm able to invite and play with others. So I can't test it myself unfortunately. Maybe someone with some wine skills who is having problems can help out with this issue.

I seem to periodically get the invite to party crash, updating wine each time does solve it though (temporarily)

I did the install of wine via the terminal. The following link has a good set of instructions on how to do so: http://www.davidbaumgold.com/tutorials/wine-mac/

follow steps 0-3 and further down there is a how to update wine (basically tells you to copy paste them into the terminal).

Perform the update wine when you get an invite to party crash, it seems to fix it, but it does keep re-occuring.

In addition I notice I could accept but not invite under the bug (before performing this pseudo fix)

Hello guys

I'm really amazed that there is a mac port and thank you for your hard work.

But one question : do a need a beta account to run the game? or is it playable for everybody?

Thank you

Currently you need a beta account to run the game. It should be coming into open beta sometime in june though, at which point everyone can play.

Ooo, fun! Although I used to play PoE way back in september (with my own Wine), updates broke easy use and I have forgotten about it for the most part since it last broke. This looks very promising for us Mac users, and I'm glad someone is maintaining support for the people not clever enough to get Wine running on their own and without bugs. (Which includes me :P, since they changed things in one of the patches)
El Psy Congroo.
Downloaded, installed, logged in and played for about 45 minutes. GREAT work, thanks!

MacBook Pro (5,2)

I was fiddling with CrossOver but ran into the .ogg error and launched it with --nosound but no sound sux ...

I'm going to try and give it a few more hours this afternoon.

:-D <- me with a big grin!

Edit: played just fine for another hour or so.

? What will happen with the 0.9.9 patch? Will it just update when I log back in?

Thanks

I've been playing for more than 10 hours now, I had to resort to lowering the resolution quite a bit in order for my 27-inch iMac to run the game at 25+ FPS. However this renders the game in a 4:3 resolution which really sucks... what's a decent 16:9 resolution that isn't as demanding as say 1980x1080?

Thanks

Since it connects to the PoE servers just like MMOs do, I presume it'll start downloading the patch and auto-install it.

@Geldric it should just launch and update ;)

@Harlequ1n

I am playing on a 27 inch iMac at 2560x1440 in fullscreen.

Lemme know what works best for you, might add player specific settings section for certain macs and what it plays best with.

Thanks, lemme clarify though that mine is a late 2009 iMac so:

Core 2 Duo 3.06 GHz
ATI Radeon HD 4670 (256 MB VRAM)

Could you post your specs for comparison?
