Now I'm getting a crash every time I try and leave the shore encampment. It's just unplayable. :(

I wish GGG would just make a mac client for the game, It is frustrating trying to play the game and constantly crashing.

I'm experiencing the exact same thing. When I leave town, after a few steps game crashes. Weird that friday night, I played for like 3 hours with no problem.
I can confirm the games runs well on Early 2011 macbook pro (Radeon 6750M 1GB, 8GB ram, OSX 10.8.0) with the provided wrapper (port). I have not encountered any issues so far.

Thank you,

Anyway, you should post the port on portingteam as well (database of ports made using wineskin/cider)
It was crashing for me quite a bit during town switches as well.

Anything us Mac users can do to make sure a native port happens at some point?
I was trying to download the program with one of those links from the first page, but non of them works. Either i need a premium ccount, there is no file or the download just wont start.
Is there a new link? can anyone provide me with a working link?

And when i start the wrapper, does it then download PoE inside the wrapper?

The link from "uploaded" works (I used it today).

The wrapper has preinstalled everything needed for launching the game. It will download full game via official launcher.

Note: there is a bug in the launcher, it will download ~4GB instead mentioned 360MB, so the percentage will go far beyond 100%.

Well, native port means a lot of code/engine has to be rewritten to use OpenGL, so if it will happen, it will not be sooner than full release.

Anyway, the developers may bring passive support to this wrapper (Blizzard have passive support for Linux, as well CCP has passive support for EVE Online (the Mac version is Windows code running through wrapper)). That would mean, the developers will try to fix/tune the Windows code for better behaviour on Mac/Linux platforms running through wine.

The first big step from developers should be to told us what components of system (directx, vcredist, codecs) the game use, so the port can be tuned up.
Hm. The "uploaded" counts down and then does nothing. I will not download those ilividsetupV1.exe.
I try again later, maybe my internet is a bit stupid at the moment and tries to troll me.

After countdown, the table with countdown should disappear, revealing the download link under it. I downloaded it via safari. The download from uploaded is slow though - 100KB/s. The downloading of wrapper took me a lot of more time than downloading the actual game after launching (10MB/s)

The countdown stays at 00:00 and does nothing more. Stupid internet. :-P
A slow DL fits, i have a maximum downlad rate of 280 kb/s, i'm fine with 100 kb/s.

thanks for your help!
Ok... seems i am to stupid for the internet.
Got the wrong window to clikc on. I hate DL sites. Those timers and buttons are the web version of a thimblerigger.

Doesnt matter, DL is downloading. Looking forward to it. :-)
