Unofficial Path of Exile Mac Client - Download - v.2 Released

I have a 9400m GT on my MBP 13"
Actually after the loading, the map runs pretty smooth. And going back between the loaded maps is really fast too. Only the initial loading is slow. I am impressed :)
Thank you to the person who put this wrapper together. 9600M 17" 10.6.8 MBP here. Runs ok after long initial load screen ( like most here), but is prone to graphical glitches after playing for a while (30-60 mins, sometimes longer). At times they are small enough to play through, other times I must restart, as they will take over the whole screen. My "largest" problem is that every time I enter the "Fetid Pools" area (1st or 2nd quest, left out of the Mud Flats) it is always near complete black. I can see the map in the corner, and the word chest if one is close, but not the chest itself. I can't see the ground or any monsters. Every time I load to play I try to enter this area with the same result. Not the biggest problem as I can simply skip that quest and keep going.

Otherwise, the gameplay is very fun, love all the orbs and their effects on gear. Gems are also done pretty well, I think. It seems as though your character or gear can/is constantly progressing, whether you gain a character level or not. Most of the things I would have issues with, have already been addressed by GGG in other posts, which is also quite nice.
i've been using this wrapper on my 2010 MBP with a nvidia 330m (i think) and sometimes it runs fantastically, other times it does not run so well.

When it does not run well it's because there's a lot of graphics artifacting happening. I find it usually has to do with elemental effects, or auras. If I was epileptic I probably would have had a seizure now from some of the dazzling displays of unintelligible colors and shapes on my screen at times, but it's still a ton of fun to play. When might we see an update to the wrapper?
I just updated POE to the new version and got massive render problems in "The Prison" both on my iMac i7 Late 2009 and on my MacBookPro 2010.

As I just found out about POE and was eager to play I tried different wine engines and setting.

After setting the videomemorysize to 512 with winetricks my iMac System seemed to work correct(?).

Disabling the fbo buffer seem to lessen the problems. It renders the lighting wrong with shadows but made it playable with shadows switched off. At least for some longer time.

After reaching the upper prison area I again had massive problems with rendering. Dunno if the changes I made before actually did something or where just creating a side effect which made it playable for some time.

Update: I get similar problems after some time in Paralles 7 and I heard that a friend on windows got those render problems too. In his case even with a bluescreen (instead of the core-dump I get after some time with the mac port). Bot both happen seldom or much later.

Uhm. Sorry for the span.

Just wanted to thanks for a MAC client.
Gotta give it a shot at the open weekend

Hey, the 3 places where you can download from are very difficult, have timers, high probability of clicking the wrong item as there are 15 different download buttons.

Why not put it up at www.dropbox.com? Create a free account, you get 2GB of storage and is accessible by posting the file link here. No timers, full speed downloads and best of all, no erroneous download links.
Thanks so much for the client :)
Damn, so close...

Every second step the grass changes to 2D blocks of color and I get some weird graphical bugs. Some skills cause half the screen to go black/purple.

Crashes on changing graphics settings through the menus (works fine if you edit the ini).

I hope GGG gets the budget and has the inclination to make a Mac client. Hell, I'd buy another supporters package to see them do that, bootcamp is just so time consuming.

2) - Download wine client here
3) - Install wine
4) - ...and so on.

I just found this link to download the v2 of the Wrapper :
