I'll try to explain it nicely, I guess, given the rest of this shithole forum.

What you're thinking is the 'typical' mindset of a PoE player. It's all got to be efficient, you're supposed to spend your currency the best way, etc.

This is the opposite. It's supposed to be ironic. It's alright if that's not funny to you, and the concept of wasting money on this is occasionally pretty cringey to me, but some enjoy that sort of humor. It is kinda funny to me to see guys competing to see who can get the 'best' piece of junk item.
