GGG's stance on Multiboxing?
I never liked multiboxing and if is were up to me i would not allow it especially in PvP. but this has been tried in D3 and last i heard they havent had much success thanks to the lack of a "follow" function like WoW had which made it very easy to do without any automation. apparently its very difficult to control the movement of 4 characters without the follow function(which basically automated movement for you from within the game) Unless PoE has this i dont know how reasonable it would be to even try this but again I dont know much about it so i am only speculating and going off what i have heard from other people

" http://www.twitch.tv/yelgis/b/315779461 This is a video of a guy 4boxing D3 beta. There are definitely some difficulties, such as enemies that have fear etc. but it shows that it is possible to 4box, even if it is not viable in harder difficulties. |

" I may be misunderstanding the intent here, but if I'm interpreting your statement correctly I can pretty definitively say that it is inaccurate. I believe what you are referencing is called round robining (again, assuming I'm interpreting you correctly), and depending on what kind of software you use it is entirely possible to have one key press only activate for one instance, and the next activate the next instance ands o on. As someone who multiboxed quite a bit in World of Warcraft (using a third party software that was frequently labeled legitimate by blues in the forums) this type of functionality was easy to set up. Whether you can do this for mouse clicks, I'm not sure, that particular software always had trouble with any kind of mouse propagation, but actual keyboard key presses (for this game, you could just bind anything you want for these scenarios to the QWERT of course) was easy cheesy. That aside, reiterating that I was someone who multiboxed in WoW and considered it a very fun alternative gameplay style, I personally feel like it is just that, an alternative gameplay style. I can definitely understand why some people view it as cheating, but I think when you actually try it and understand how it works you realize that it isn't the end all be all solution to things like PVP. Multiboxing has a host of other downsides to deal with to counter the upsides of it, and if you know your enemy is multiboxing it can be very easy to trip them up. Diamond Supporter since 2012-04-24.

If people want to take the time to set it up, let 'em. It doesn't hurt the game in any way. Only some feelings.

Multi boxing and automation are two different things Gluscus, they are talking about automation of multiple clients.

If one person can insta nuke people while multiboxing with one hotkey, bad bad very bad. Lots of that went on in Shadowbane and that game is dead dead very dead.

I'm 100% for multiboxing, its part of the ARPG genre. I'm 100% for /players x to discourage multiboxing and leeching. I'm 100% against multibox automation, thats not what its for.

" I am all for /players x I used that a lot in Diablo II and I used a tool that did the same thing in Borderlands on PC. Made the game way more challenging and enjoyable on single player. |

I rly hate that the game is turning in to who can run most programs to have the most succes. Is that rly what GGG whant for this game. ???
To me there is not a big step from multiboxing, to just botting.. Its all about programs that make you have more succes than people who just whant to play the game normaly. IGN:Frys_NU Last edited by viggatron#1844 on Feb 27, 2013, 7:36:58 AM

Hope GGG makes a clear statement on this.
