GGG's stance on Multiboxing?

I don't think it should be considered cheating to want to increase the difficulty and drop chances of an area simply by having idler's there.

Yes if they are all in use thats a different story, its a fine line.

I see your point, but I'd rather have people play with each other. In cutthroat it would be cheating.

There would be absolutely not bots involved. Each character would be controlled by me, I press a button and a single reaction per instance would result, or depending on how complicated I wanted to make it, each button press would only make one action in one instance, this would be a lot harder to do successfully in game though.

That level of automation of several characters is borderline botting as far as I'm concerned. Sorry.
And they said *I* was bad at PoE. At least I made it out of act 1 and know how to use the /dnd function. El oh fucking el.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.
Do the characters have to be playing together for it to be illegitimate? For example, what if someone makes 10 mules on their account to store their items, and approximately doubles the size of their "stash" by doing so? $3 per stash tab is expensive for the real hoarders, and I can see the miserly folks making 10 accounts once PoE goes into open beta.

I guess we have very different definitions of botting then. To me botting is something were you don't have to be there and the game plays itself/plays for you.

What I would be doing would consist of my characters each doing one action per keystroke I make. It is the same as playing normally, just 3 characters do it instead of one.

It would even be feasable to have each button I press only go to 1 character, which would make it basically no different than playing a single character.

So why do you want to play more than one character at once?

Nah one of the devs said extra accounts for holding things is fine.
Winner of the First Ever Cut-Throat Server Test, and Winner of the First Ever Cut-Throat League Event!
Still would like to know the devs opinions on having multiple accounts logged in to fill maps for more drops.

How about you stop trolling. First off, if you had ever multiboxed you would know that it isnt FEASIBLE to have a button work on 1 char, you would know it is DEFAULT to do that. So
1) You only have 1 monitor.
2) You have only one account.
3) You don't even know how multimonitor computers work
4) You are just trying to piss people off.

If you weren't just trolling and you were actually capable of doing things then you would do this and gain the benefits without telling everyone about it.

Go to school and learn how things work.

No-one gives a shit. (not troll, not trying to be rude, not trying to piss u off, just trying to give honest answer.)

This practice was just as common as muling in D2 and it will NEVER go away.

Sigh, you called me no one again.

I am not displeased.

I understand that it will always be around, but I want to know what the dev stance is, it gives us a chance to discourage or encourage what it is they believe is permitable. Transparancy in the process of making rules and boundaries within game systems is a good thing.

With this game you really do not need multiple monitors, since everything you see on each screen would basically be the same, just with a small offset based on character width.

Yes I do only have 1 account, which is why I haven't tried multiboxing yet. There is going to be an open beta sometime soon (Junish I've heard) at which point I could make 5 more accounts if I wanted to.

If I just wanted to piss people off, I would have just made a thread about how much better D3 is than poe and let the shit-storm commence.

I honestly just want to know what GGG's opinion is.
