I had a righteous fire build with kaom's heart chest and Sharkskin Boots. Hey... with the introduction of the Empower gem, you /could/ restore your build. Won't be as kick-ass as before, but still viable.
You do lose Inner Force, but: Alpha's Howl / Geofri's Crest Reduced Mana - Empower - purity - vitality Both of these will result in level 24 auras. Which means 1.7 life regen, and +5 max resists. 8.4% regen from passives +1.7 from vitality 75% resist +2 from passive +8 from shield +5 from purity Brings you up to 10.1% life regen, and 90% fire resist. You'll still have to turn RF off under some map mods. I'd also recommend taking Oak in cruel for the Phys damage if you're going EK. If the new Fire Res Aura can get up to +5%, then you can sustain RF from just life again!

I'm not there yet but using the new purity of fire aura and a couple of aura buff nods, it's possible to reach 90% fire resist again.
Anyway it's still pretty easy to sustain the damages with blood dancers, juste keep a frenzy + multistrike + blood magic + added lightning/cold (to trigger Elemental Equilibrium) somewhere and spam it from time to time to keep the frenzy charges up. I've got 4 at the moment but I think 3 is enought if you don't want to grab an extra one (there is one pretty easy to get on your way to iron reflexes). |
