Damn, I just bought the unique shield too. Oh well, I think they'll do something about this build in the future, as I don't think GGG's intention was to completely remove the viability of RF. Perhaps there will be newly introduced base items or uniques that will add to maximum fire resistance.

Also, though FP and EK were nerfed, we may be able to find viable solutions from other skill gems. Perhaps there are no good gem alternatives now, but given that new gems will be introduced in the future, I expect that the RF build will be revived.

Another thought: It's possible that new support gems could be linked to RF. That would be cool! :)

Hey amp93, i think i remember you saying the build was working with only 89% resist right (before they introduce RotP) ?

It's still possible to reach this amount with RotP and purity lvl20.

I hope it wasnt GGG's intention to completely make this build suck ass. Such a great build just thrown out the window. GG by GGG.

With 89 life resist and 8.9% total life regen you'll be taking 11-8.9 = 2.1% of your max hp per second, considering they also nerfed max hp as well as fp/ek dmg, the build is basically neutered.

also i playing rf pa shavrones dual spark builds... they nerfing it sagnificantly too -_-

Shav RF/PA was way too OP and deserved a nerf but our RF Mara was actually very balanced.

I'm quite sad that GGG destroyed the build but I can see a few way to bring it back wich is mostly introducing new unique with life regen or buffing the regen nods.

What I don't understand is why they just didn't aply the RF degen to ES with something like "burn a 100% of your ES then burn a 100% of your life".

I'm gonna put my Mara on the side and wait for a change in meta, I feel kinda bad for the guy who designed RotP. He obviously wanted to provide a cool item to use with RF and now it's pretty pointless.

WTS all my RF Marauder gear.....

We figurated out a working and non op solution here, if you could all bump the trhead so the devs can be aware of it that would be awesome.
