Alright, time to drop off my 2 cents :)

Love melee getting more love as I play mainly on my LS (leap slam) Mara. The splash gem wont do anything for me, cause for aoe I use LS and for single target I just wont use it.

Multistrike on my heavy strike intrigues me a lot.


Now, I saw a lot of people complain about survivability on melee. I'm a Vaal Pact Leapslam Heavy strike Mara and I dont understand how anyone can complain about survivability :) (and dont say casting Enduring cry is painful or smth in those lines. And there is Warlord'd as well)

For defensive skill,



i have 3 ideas:-


1. Active Shield Parry -
an active skills that attack targets in a small arc, with shield. Attack will cause Zero damage, 200% stun duration and 90% chance to stun targets that been hit by the attack. (Boss and unique mob will be immune to the stun effect)


2. Active Shield Block:-
an active skills that hold down user's shield, protecting the user in the frontal arc from all non-spell/non-choas attack and give 100% block chance to the attack when activated. User will be immobilized when the skill is active. Every successful attack block give a 50% attack speed charge (max of 3 charge) for 7 sec . Each 50% attack speed charge will be consumed when user activate a attack skill or when it expired.


3. Armour Reflection Keystone:-
When wearing armour-rating Armour, when successfully blocked a melee attack, will cause a 100% chance to knockback the target who triggered it. Distance of the knockback when be based on the Armour Rating of the Armour. Does not work with IR.

OR

They could just simply add a knockback chance bonus on Armour-Rating Armour equipments. (IR converted ar not included).

I like that you are trying to make the new support somewhat balanced. In paticular since you still havent managed to do that with ranged supports. Lets make SURE melee doesnt get its time being OP.

Yes, I'm a bit bitter and I also realise in the end I prefer it to be balanced from the start. But lets not act like some ranged supports arent still OP as hell.
Regardless of internal/alpha testing, the melee gems will probably need tweaking after the first week. But in any case, these sound friggin' AWESOME. Melee love at last.
