Be honest, without the need to force an opinion down anyone's throat you would not have the phrase "multibox abuse" instead it would be comments on how its nice to see people enjoying a game their own way and in their own time in their own home.

Be honest, is the fact that multiboxing earns far more than playing with one client fair to people who can't run a lot of stuff on their computers?

Be honest, do multiboxers really want to have to do it? Wouldn't it be more fun to just have some like monster level 68 areas where people could just go to farm, enter when they want and not be forced to deal with random groups of chaos damage mobs or be tied to going through the whole map.

Maps should still be the place for all the top end stuff, but I don't always want to do them. My character isn't great for mass chaos damage/no regen maps. I'm making a new character which will be better, but I need god knows how many more jewelers to make my armor 6S.

My farming rate is now 29% of what it used to be.

Jewelers orbs are common, I have a stash page full of them...

In solo, I can still manage a 6s per 2 runs of docks... 3.5 jewelers per run.

Making a 6s takes around 60-80 jewelers on average... Its the links that you have to worry about.

It takes 60-80 to get a 5L... If your average 1 fusing per run, that's 60-80 runs... Lots of grinding fun.

I call bullshit to all of the bolded. Maybe you have a full page of jewelers, but I don't.

I just got an ilvl 79 armor I am trying to make 6L and am tracking the results. I have spent 116 jewelers and gotten 4x 5S but no 6S yet. I don't want a 5L, I want a 6L.

Whatever it is, the fact remains that multiboxing still works and those who do it are earning far faster than I will solo.
As an ES/Arc/Spark Witch, and an amateur multiboxer, this patch is a real punch in the gut. Another vote for /player #. Also, maybe give some though to limiting the effective range of skills and spells if there's no benefit to using them offscreen.

Yeah I'm not sure people know the difference between multiboxers and multiloggers :/

So as a solo player am I penalized for killing out of range?

there is still no official answer to this.

from the first post, we could assume that if u are away more than 13m, there will be 0 players, so 0 drops from distance.

But it's just an hypothesys, there is still no offical DEV answer to that.

it would be the first case of multiplying x0 of quantity or some hard capped down x0.15% etc.

still no confirmation about that.
There will always be people who multibox, every game has them. Thing is, multiboxers are usually not that many to have a serious impact on a game's economy or pvp balance. Multiloggers however are the "cheap" version of multiboxing. This patch is welcomed in regard of removing multiloggers or making their lives quite more difficult.

On a side note - one more vote for /Player X.

I understand that this is a multiplayer game, but as things are now I prefer to farm alone, since I don't have any friends here I can trust. I don't want my hard earned loot to be snagged just because a bit of lag or a few seconds of me not paying enough attention to the massive mess on the ground. Let us solo people be a step closer to those farming in groups.

Is not trading between players cheating? I thought the game was about finding items and upgrading them and within those terms would not calling for items that are not yours and that you did not find yourself be spoiling the game? I can understand trading between your own characters after all you did find the items and have a right to use them but to actually call for outside help for items that you do not own or find because you cant be bothered finding them yourself or because the games mechanics is such that you have not been on the receiving end of a favorable drop, is that not unbalancing what the games mechanics have set in motion? If you want your neighbors loot isn't that called envy?
Stop Trading! Keep your items for yourself, keep looking for those elusive items instead of getting envious of other people. There fixed.

I'm off for a beach walk now with the missus and our dog and I wont get envious of anyone elses missus or if someones elses dog has a shinier coat or anything, I swear what I have is fine with me, would spoil the walk if I was constantly weighing what others have vrs what I have. Take that bitches :P
Never come between a man and his goals or ambitions because in all things we made choices, changing that makes the choices pointless as well as futile and is there any thinking/non sheep orientated man willing to accept futility as fun?
I dont like new Cyclone move
Why is people discussing "/player x" now...

This ain't the place and the devs have already said they don't like that sort of mechanic (thankfully, as it's terrible and badly designed). Get some IIQ gear and farm lower level content.

You can achieve the same IIQ as a 6 player party with IIQ gear, and if you are above 80 with a decent character you can easily farm docks, lunaris 3 or easy rolled 66's anyway if you are interested in flooding your screen with items.

Take in mind you don't receive any penalty from that as max lvl when it comes to item drops calculations is effectively 68. You can even farm city of sarns and receive no penalty (but you won't gain any XP).

Time to trade/find/craft that IIQ gear.

Just my guess man at the randoms... Sure there are outliers people getting it in 1 try, and those that take hundreds!

I've chanced 400+ items, but never once got a unique (Estimated 300 chances to get a unique)

While my friend on the other hand has chanced 2 uniques with less chances...

I agree with you on the 6L biz, its Unobtainium for the casual player to get it and even worse now with recent changes...

I feel that the new changes have only ACCENTED the issues with parties and party play. You work together as a team to get LESS.
