Soul Raker claw build not right(can a dev explain?)
I really like the ES leach idea being put in some way or another because as it is, as a dex/int class the shadow has low health and gets pretty much insta killed if you have no remaining ES on higher difficulties. The current claw innate and soul raker passives make little sense with the shadow's current design. I really like the lifeleach to ES leach keystone idea.
It seemed to me that a whole lot of people really liked the idea of chaos innoculation on their shadow's but that entirely removes claw weapons as a viable option since there is no point in lifesteal with CI. I life to ES leach keystone would be a really good idea, i would suggest putting it in instead of the paint attunement keystone(since that suffers from the same problems as soul raker.) I like the "if ur on low health, ur already doing it wrong" mentality of the class. also, thank you to the response from GGG, really appreciate that you guys show up on the forums. |

While I like this idea of energy shield leech I would be somewhat concerned that this would become an almost mandatory Keystone if you get Chaos Innoculation.

Another idea i just had: What about a chance to trigger the ES regeneration after a successful Soul Raker attack?
This would give Soul Raker users the ability to trigger the (immense) regeneration midcombat, without giving them an (overly) unfair advantage over normal ES users - afterall they do have to go "close up and personal" to get this boost. Triggering the regeneration wouldnt make you invincible either, because you would not get "instant HP" from it. If something can kill you in 2 seconds, this ability is not going to save you, no matter how often it kicks in.... |

" It's only mandatory if you are going for a claw build with your shadow. You can run with daggers and no lifesteal and still use chaos innoc. Won't need the lifesteal -> ES steal passive then. Also it's a better option than what Chaos Innoc shadows have now, which is don't use claws at all, and ignore all lifesteal passives. Last edited by turmi110#1964 on May 16, 2012, 7:52:02 PM

" Good point. Going by how the devs usually do things, ES-steal should either also be a mod on items, or a keystone that converts something with a drawback. For example, it could be a keystone that converts all life-steal into ES-steal. It would be balanced, since ES-stacking builds usually have less damage mitigation than HP-stacking builds, making ES leech provide less "effective HP" than normal life leech. |

"If it works like any other leech then it will only work on physical attacks which prevents it from working for casters. |
