Quality Incinerate is a good idea. Thanks for your priority list, I'll look into it. I have to decide between Faster Casting and ADL atm, since my colors are RGGBB. Not sure yet if I will try to 6L my Searing Touch because I will most likely abandon it later.
Guess I will stick to FC for now and switch to ADL, once I have Static Blows and more cast speed via passives and items.

The dps is quite impressive. I just played an EK double totem char before this one. The biggest difference is that EK is rather slow but hits very hard per cast. Incinerate is the other way round. It hits very fast very often.

That feels cooler but has a downside - you won't be stun-locking stuff as easily as you do with EK totems. But the dps is still ridiculous, especially once those stages ramp up.
just out of curiosity, does the added elemental dmg over in the templar tree add much in the way to this spell? It could be that im just at the low end of the numbers but getting both (20% increase to elemental dmg) doesnt seem to affect my tooltip or dps in anyway.

it should directly affect this spell just like spell damage since it's all elemental damage. As to why it's not affecting your tooltip, I don't know.

It's completely up to you if you want cold damage or faster projectiles. If you want more aoe on your totems go for faster projectiles (although with a 20% incinerate I feel it's not necessary). If you want mobs to be chilled and extra damage, go for the added cold damage.
updated the curses; I felt flammability was a waste so I switched it with temporal chains which will allow your totems to survive much longer and make the shock last a little longer.
Down side to Totem build is that they get 1 shot on end game maps, maps maps, in map room.

Especially by bosses, rolling stone golems, maps that do chaos damage over time, burning ground maps, and so on......

They are however amazing in groups, but most of the time people will kick you because well, no one likes there whole screen covered in fire :P

I have no problem with them dying easily in maps. If anything I feel they are too tanky as it is because they are so easily recasted. Burning ground, chaos damage over time, and so on don't affect totems in any way. They are immune to things such as burning patches, and chaos damage over time affects players only not totems or minions :).

Issues :


Gear : I know it probably needs a huge update , I just didn't find anything so far.


Incinerate gem : only lvl 12 so I probably lack a lot of damage there, strange thing is that when I replace it with my 16-17 fireball gem (so Incinerate can level in slot II), the damage still seems very low.


I'm working towards CI and atm only 1000+ ES, which gearparts should I best look for ?


Also offleveling added cold and lightning and enfeeble.

I suppose to use all this extra added dmg gems I need a 6L chest ???

That's a wise choice. I would have done that anyway :P Temporal Chains is just way too sexy not to use. Plus, Flammability has a chance to burn and that is annoying against some mobs.


I have never played in parties before but decided to go for it yesterday. Most people were excited about my totems, they thought they look badass and melt things fast. :P

Totems dying is always a problem for dual totem builds. Then again, better they chase my totems and I recast them all the time (and they are relatively cheap) than having them chase me and having to run away all the time.

And yes, in parties it gets really ridiculous since you have so much stage-4-uptime. Melting shit in seconds ftw ^^
