- Its so hard for me to upgrade my gear, even though some of it is so crap that anything would do. I cant really tell how I should balance cast speed, lightning/elemental damage, spell damage. Do we need any critical strike chance (i guess no because of passive skill)?

- How would i get more movement speed? too many downtimes in between quicksilver

- I have around 5 ex to spend. What some easy and effective upgrades?

-For life i'm not sure of a comfortable number. I'm pretty min-maxed and i'm at 6400 life/1740 mana/ 650 es -- You should be fine around 5500 i would think

- Attack speed is for the shield charge, i don't put it on weapon myself because i like to see more damage

- Arcane surge should require mana just under 1 use of brand recall. If your brand recall is level 13 (Gem 7 + empower 3 + shield) then you use a level 4 arcane surge for it to proc every use of brand recall

- For level 21 I would recommend storm brand and added light/cold damage depending on which you are using

- For gear i would just say look at other players stuff on here and see what you want. I always aim to balance defense first, then go for damage

sorry for the noob question but whats the point of using multiple totem support with shield charge? as far as i understand shield charge does not spawn a totem?

This is because his gloves have a Lvl 20 Decoy Totem in them.

That wand isn't that good for a non crit build, you could replace for a sceptre pretty cheaply.


You were right, fortify and shield charge helped greatly with survivability. I would consider a decent Watcher's Eye as well but that would mean changing the spec away from MoM (might need to overhaul a few talent to add HP to compensate for that).

Either way, I find myself not using Flame dash anymore, so I am debating switching that with something else (though the option of just going over terrain is beautiful to have), thoughts?

I have few questions. Is inpulsas better than loreweave and can i use void battery or it's bad idea?
Hey, what's the general opinion on Ice Bite vs Added Cold?

My guess would be Ice Bite for farming (speed) vs Added Cold (more damage) for bossing?

I try Ice Bite today.
Every day I try to get this build faster and push it more into speed farming corner. I already dropped 2 of flasks (honestly, most of time there are so many mobs you can just leech and for boss i dont have charges left anyways. even tier 13,15,15...).

And i just check ice bite skill. It gives frenzy charges.
That pushes attack/cast/damage 4% each per charge.
What is our maximum charges amount with this build, i dont even know?
And is that worth it? Whats the damage loss compared to swapping it with hypothermia or added cold? so many different variations of this build...

Void battery isn't worth it on a non crit build. If you change to go crit (Which is perfectly doable) then it's an option, though if you go void battery, it's only worth doing with 2 void batteries, so no shield to boost brand recall levels.

I wouldn't drop hypothermia for it, it's only really worth it as an alternative to added cold.
With charges up, it's probably about 30% less than added cold. But the more damage and cast speed make up for it. So a decent option.
But without charges, i.e bosses it's quite a bit less. But a bunch of damage is from the traps anyway, which isn't affected so maybe not that big a deal.
Basically, it's probably an ok option, just don't use it for endgame bossing.

Frenzy charges will cap out at 3 unless you go a very long way on the tree or can get an extra charge by corrupting gloves.
