Posting this in two threads relevant;
Does the reflect from Tempest Shield proc from each damage instance of Puncture? Because i took damage from seemingly nothing when kiting Marceus the Defaced in the marketplace. I had punctured him and he had Tempest shield up, i was in sync and then i took tons of damage and died while he was almost an entire screen away. Any thoughts? |

There's no such thing as "damage instances". It reduces Life over time, it doesn't deal separate Hits. Shouldn't be able to trigger Tempest, because Damage over Time cannot be Blocked.

Personally I'd like to see this gem as a support rather than a skill. It would make it much more viable.

After i got bored from OP builds i made a puncture-ranger.
ScreenDPS is around 700, effectiveDPS around 6400 now. Still testing, will tell you guys how if char feels complete! | |

It's a shame Culling Strike doesn't work with the DoT.

Does Puncture damage carry increased item rarity/quantity support gems or gear mods?
What about Bleed damage from The Blood Reaper caused by a cyclone with iir/iiq support or gear? |

Gear yes, Supports no (Supports apply to Hits made by the linked Skill; Damage over Time does not Hit).
