I agree. My play schedule is pretty random. Some days I have time to run a bunch of maps, some days only a couple. Sometimes I play early in the day, sometimes later. Because of this I'm pretty much forced to play solo (which is fine) because it's hard to participate in a group when I don't have a set schedule or amount of time to commit. The drop rate is killing me.

sorry for pulling this out of the dead, but what was done to make this issue better? I did not follow PoE and just jumped in again after 1.0 release.

Been saying this since closed beta. Getting locked out of content because you're unlucky is the worst thing this game can do.

progression isnt an issue in the latest 1.0 patch.
There is no requirement to kill Dominion to access Eternal Lab in Merciless.
If Cruel Dominion is challenging, perhaps join the public parties for a team kill.

(or zerg him to death on standard/domination league)

What...just...what.

The thread is talking about the difficulty in maintaining high level maps. None of this has anything to do with progression through the storyline.
