Skill Revamps - Part 6

Awesome changes for all the skills, really looking forward to trying them all out.
But Wwere are the Ice Trap changes??? i was really expecting them to be in this post as they have had no mention whatsoever, which is strange as this is trap patch/league and yet one of the more iconic traps hasn't had any mention or any limelight...

Some very nice changes; skill reworks is exactly what the game needed imo, as once you start running the same skills over and over again but with new unique setups, you notice you get bored. (I do non-meta buils as well like endurance discharge back when jugg gave max charge gain, but that was removed and blade vortex still ran way smoother).

And since everyone is making recommendations/requests for future reworks i'll add mine as well for fun:
-explosive arrow (so it's less clunky)
-phase run (make it last way longer and actually add a buff for casters if possible)
-unearth (was excited to try it as a selfcaster; physical projectile spell and all; horrible targetting and insane mana cost and visuals feel very weak)
-ancestral protector (needs splash otherwise no reason to take it instead of warchief)
-devouring/rejuv. totem (we have siphoning trap now, so not needed anymore)
-warcries in general; its an extra skill slot that doesnt add a whole lot with all the new ways to do damage and get damage from uniques and stat sticks and reworked ascendancies.
-conversion trap (somehow, seems hard to make this viable but not op)
-flame surge (with the 3.3 fireball damage numbers, fireball has more base damage than flame surge WITH the 50% more multi on it active, losing its only benefit)
-ice spear (others have mentioned it already)
-stormcall (my eyeballs)
-tempest shield (and reflect skills/builds, so it doesn't only trigger from incoming attacks/hits)

And since this is a long list and most people already stopped reading; i am a nigerian prince who has a very special offer for the dedicated; i can give you rngezus blessing which is currently locked in my vault. I can get to it with only a little help; pm. me for details.

Those Power siphon visuals are so bad. Please bring the old one back.

Changes are nice. But..

Kinetic blast is an abomination that makes power siphon rework pointless. Noone will use it. Youve created a monster and there is only one solutiin: nerf KB

Melee attack skills: sweep, dual strike, heavy strike and all the rest of thrash pile. Please delete them. Melee is already a 4 skill game, please remove all other rubbish choices

Half of the red gems is pointless and serve no purpose.

Sadly the pattern of changes seems to be to adjust the flashy not the weak.

Btw freezing pulse buff is xompletely unneccessary..
That's nice to know that they fix skills GGG <3
Videos of these new skills would be nice.

As would a jewel that reduced, or eliminated, pierce allowing us to use supports like chain or fork to modify how skills that pierce by default function.
Patch Notes 3.15:
Fixed a bug where players believed the game was playable. This has been corrected and made retroactive.
Patch Notes 3.19:
Fixed a bug where players adapted to 3.15. This bug cannot be corrected, so we have implemented a 90% reduction in item access as a punishment.

With Ancestral call Protector is actually not half bad. I agree it could use a bit more love, such as allowing the buffs it grants to attack speed to be addative with multiple totems. Or perhaps give it a substantial range buff or a much, much higher stun chance debuff.

I used it with dual brightbeaks for leveling a heirophant and, well, it was downright silly and killed mighty fast. It started to peter out in effectiveness around tier 6 maps, though. Brightbeak just lacks enough native damage to scale well at higher levels.

Brightbeak X2

Ancenstral Protector, Faster Attacks, Ancestral Call, Melee Splash, Melee Damage. 8 attacks per second (with only one totem providing the Attack Speed buff) x3 totems x2 ancestral call echos. So, against mobs it was 72 very small 'hits' per second, with splash. Or 24 strikes per second against a single target.
