I've wanted to visit New Zealand for quite some time but it's not exactly one of the easiest and affordable destinations from Europe. Cheapest plane tickets start from $1500 and it takes more than 24 hours with 2+ additional stops to get to Auckland. That's like... a ~$4000 trip. Tho I greatly appreciate GGG doing it, anywhere in Europe, US or Asia will cost 3 times less and will be at least twice as fast to get there which probably means far more people attending. Ah, well, we'll see you on streams I guess.

Having MtX being locked behind the ability to physically go to NZ is a bit over the top. As for going, I'd probably do it if I could afford it at the time but it's fairly expensive (plane ticket alone is ~$900) as NZ is literally on the other side of the world so can't say either or at this point. This looks like a very nice idea.
But checking the price of plane tickets.....the cheapest ones are 1000 euro !!!! Why don't you guys do this in the US or some other place? You guys can clearly see where most of the players are from https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1462987

I am likely to attend, have been in NZ twice before and despite the distance from Europe it is well worth the time spend on airports/flights.
