[Removed by Support] The build works great for new players and people that aren't looking to fly as fast as possible. [Removed by Support]

Aim to have your non-unique gear rare strength based only. But if you're low on currency you will save lots of Chromatic Orbs by looking for gear with Armour and Intelligence bases.

I am new to the game and don't understand this. I didn't see much explanation for the non-unique gear. Reading this sounds like I should be looking for gear with strength on it unless I am poor then get armor with intelligence, and make sure the gear has resists and life?

That's exactly it. You are looking for gear that has only Strength as a requirement. They will give large Armour bonuses and are more likely to roll red sockets when using Chromatic Orbs. If you're having a hard time finding a decent piece of strength only gear, using gear that has minimum requirements in both Strength and Intelligence will also work (they are more likely to roll both red and blue sockets with chromatics)... You'll just get less of an Armour bonus.

And yes, once you get the colours and links of the sockets you want you'll want lots of resists and life.

Does this answer all your questions? Please feel free to ask as much as you want. This build will change a bit with the changes coming June 1st.

Yes, that was super helpful thanks! My only difficulty so far is finding the correct sockets colors and links but I am sure that will come with time and as I get crafting mats crafting.

One of the hardest parts of the game is on your first play-through, after you've unlocked all the gems at level 38 and after...it's when you have to choose between items with the right sockets but crappy rolls, or crappy sockets and great rolls. Hang in there. There isn't a wrong way to go. Choose whatever helps you survive the most. The drops will come.

I suggest not spending many (if any) Jewellers Orbs, Chromatic Orbs, or Orbs of Fusings until near end-game. You'll replace your items quickly throughout story mode.

Just hit level 83 with this build. One thing that helped my survivability was to swap out Blind in place of Maim. Other than that, I might try out that Mark of the Red Covenant helm. Has anyone had a chance to try it out?

I tried it out for a while. It's a cool idea. Here's what I found:
- I had a lot more survivability because I didn't have to worry about casting. I cast 5 SRS and ran around.
- Clearing was slower
- I had more overall damage with 20 SRS out even with the damage increases of Mark of the Red Covenant.
- I actually checked how many SRS I had "alive" more often than without the unique helmet. With the unique helmet I was always checking my SRS quantity, and without the helmet I would just stop, cast non-stop until I had to move, and move on.

I did enjoy the unique, but I think I'm going to keep the "Bone Head" rare for this build's 3.3 version.

That's just my preference for play style though.

How do you get the cold damage on SRS?

The aura Hatred gives the cold damage.

SRS does 100% physical damage but then half of the physical damage gets converted to fire damage. Hatred takes 36% of the pre-converted physical damage and gives it back as cold damage. With the support gems I chose, you'll actually do more cold damage than either fire or physical damage.
