That's how these discussions work. People who have no experience or knowledge trying to share their "factual information"( Oh yes, it's real!) on the matter.

Obviously OP has no clue on trade bots or the magnitude of them. It's pretty sad because I also saw my friend get all angry over people trading currencies without saying anything and reported every person who either put currencies too fast or didn't say anything.

its very easy to spot when your trading with a bot, I just play shitty enough builds that I never need to get really expensive stuff to make them work (HC too helps a little).

Sadly OP you are fucked, they've encouraged this behaviour and the parasite percentage in PoE goes up every league with bloated transactions from people not seeking to buy equipment to play the game/their character with but with people trying to get enormous hordes of fictional currency to sit in their stash on standard.

Basically your gonna have to accept it :(

Only thing GGG can do is implement more anti-botting features or something.

Someone whispering you within 5 seconds of you listing your item isn't a bot 100% by the way for a different discussion.

Nobody is saying they don't exist but it isn't a problem that should cause people to panic or be upset about it.

Why very few discuss it is exactly because WE DONT HAVE RELEVANT DATA and if we don't know something, we don't start barking like dumb dogs.

The supply / Demand changes over a period of time for any new league has a consistent trend for range of items low end , mid end , high end all affected by various factors including ggg , changes and streamer mania.

Nothing you suggested as evidence even remotely resembles proof of this. It is just as possible that someone sitting closer to the indexer is able to respond more quickly than you are, especially if they put some effort into the process. (I mean, click to put buyout msg in clipboard, click to game, paste, send, not exactly a long delay, especially if you have two monitors...)

It is even possible they are automating some part of that, in ways that are permitted: one hardware action, one in-game action, such as a whisper being sent. That'd reduce the click-key-key-key cycle to just one action, in the same way that a macro to enter /hideout is acceptable.


Anyway, if you have actual, meaningful proof, contact the GGG abuse team by email. They will happily take your report, and appropriate action against people breaking the terms of service. Botting is not actually acceptable to GGG.

(Though the action may not be a ban; to paraphrase Chris_GGG, a bot that can't achieve meaningful anything is better than a bot that gets improved hiding on the next account the user creates.)
