Unofficial Offline Skilltree Calc (Delete the Data folder to update. Stop posting "update please" )

If you're using chrome, just go to that link and right click. Choose "save as" and your problem should be solved!
I like this tool, but there were a few things that bugged me about it.

1) The drop down still says "SIX" instead of "Shadow".
2) If you enter an invalid build URL, the program not only crashes but it saves the bad URL so it crashes on every startup.

So I went and changed that. Now it properly says "Shadow" and if you load an invalid URL it will tell you it failed and then load the last valid URL.

When I try to download my item list I get a bunch of text in chrome, no file!
This would be fine if I knew what kind of file format to paste it in.

Thanks for any help and this tool is fucking awesome!

you need to save it as an extensionless file called "get-items" in the data folder.
if you can't you'll have to wait until the OB, i will change that behavior after it started.

Great now we got people modding it too?

The original is scary enough. . . how long before someone tosses a key logger in one?

Well the original has the source code shown so it's pretty safe.
I included the source changes I made with mine. You can download the original source from SVN, apply my patch and create a build with my changes.

After all, the whole point of free open source is that others can make changes and share those changes!
Plus, the chance of anyone coding an undetected keylogger is highly unlikely these days.
@Headhorr this is awesome! Thanks!
I'm new here just from a month and first thing I thought whe I saw PoE skill tree is (besides it's awesome) that I wish to see better where what type of skills are and also to see calculation what is the result of my skill nodes choise. Your calculator looks that makes great job at the second one!

Now I don't want to brag, but I made something (the least I can) about the first wish I had - to see better where what type of skills are: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/68005/page/1

I think is mostly usefull for newbs like me, but if you find it useful too and wish somehow to add it in your program also like a feature I can give you the layers I made.

Funny thing is, if i had to remake the tree everytime something changes, i'd go insane.
The tool can just regenerate the most recent skilltree by downloading it freshly from the website.
So your layers are kinda useless for me, sry.
I'd need a script that colors the nodes in relation to their description.
