Solo Self-Found Manmode 1 Week Race (March 3rd Event)

Wait no one play a LS build on HC at lv 70+ ? Because i don't think imo, that LS is a "melee" build or at least a real one. Should be removed from the list even if i still think my LS character is garbage at high level :)

You cant. And that is the sole reason I dont understand what the hell people are whining about the "rules" for. The rules are self imposed, if you don't have the self respect to stay within the rules, or at least make your own to stay within if you don't follow Krips, then what the hell are you even posting here for?

As far as the viability of solo Vaal melee in Merciless, lets just say its the insane right of passage that this challenge centers around, and a PRIME reason why they will need to be tweaking melee balance somewhere in there. Its not impossible to just face tank it, but you really don't want to do that if you can help it, and doing it under these restrictions may be... difficult. *cackle*

There are a couple of tricks that can help you survive it.

First is don't try to mitigate it, try to avoid it. This can be done with evasion just fine though it wont guarantee your survival - but combined with good efforts to evade it through actual movement (such as with quicksilvers and other run speed methods) it can be done, and acts as a backup sort of "insurance" stat. I'd rather not even try to mitigate it through armor in a self found race - the chances of completing Vaal in any kind of decent time with self found items is just crazy unless you spend ages farming Act 2.

Secondly you can cheat by making sure he doesnt actually use his melee attack. Wait until he starts his summon animation and get a hit in. Wait till he starts to use his 3 lightning beams and hit between dodges (definitely easier to dodge than his melee hit I think). This would be especially effective with something like Whirling Blades which will let you run up, and punch through dealing damage, while simultaneously escaping his range. As long as it doesnt desynch you... ouchies!

Thirdly you can probably use Endurance charges to extremely good effect either by stacking them or by abusing Immortal Call to save you from his melee hits. As long as you have decently good reaction time, maybe you practice it in Cruel, you can definitely use this to survive as well. Unfortunately Enduring Cry is not available to Shadows, and Immortal Call requires getting to CRUEL difficulty on a Duelist, Marauder, or Templar. Unless you're lucky. :D

I just finished setting up this event on ExileStats. Once the 1 week goes live the manmode version should show up similarly with it's own leader board. I need to pass out for a few hours now, but I'll check everything when I wake up to make sure it's working properly. I'm too tired to setup more testing right now...

i would play it but i really cba to rush new char to act3 just to get important quest reward for my build

Yea, it was totally not showing up at all, fixed it now :)
