3.0.0 Beta Performance Improvements

Bring coc back to life!
"Now all that's left is for you getting on your knees."
if you know thank me:) i'm dying to find out x'D
A lot of people ragging on the spec choice. GGG should get a Sandy Bridge i3 and a Radeon HD 7770 to do their CoC benchmark with so then no one can complain that they tested with too expensive or too new hardware :>

Come on people,an i5 is the most typical cpu for gaming.
Even a 2500 is enough.
1050ti is an 150€ gpu.
I fully understand people that cannot afford a new pc and are stuck with very old specs, but the pc used to demonstrate the improvements is low tier among gaming rigs.
It's a nice baseline so you can know what to expect from your rig.
I have an i5 2500 and a 7850 and i expect 20-25% less improvement than shown in the video.
Still an improvement though.

Not everyone lives in countries with a good salary level, for some 150-200$ it's a monthly salary.

I do not blame the GGG, but why they write such system requirements then, and test the game on a computer that is at least 5 times more powerful ???

I understand man,i'm not rich either.
Those minimum requirements are to be able to run the game.
Not at 60fps.
As i said, use the video as an example of what to expect from your own rig.
No gaming company can optimize a modern game to run at 60fps on 10 or more years old hardware.
It's just impossible.
Depends on where you live..

Intel i5-6500
GeForce 1050 Ti
8 GB of RAM

is not really considered normal or average pc over here xD

I'm running x4 860k quad on 3.7Ghz, GTX 750 GS 2GB and 12 GB Ram DDR3, and I was saving up for 8 months to buy that xD
Which is, by far what the most people use, x4 860k or 880k, because intels are like, literally double the price of AMD, and 80% of people here work for minimal wage, around 200-220 euro per month, which is barely enough for family, bills and food, god forbid you're smoker as well :)
One i5 2500 is nearly our monthly income xD
Over here, that's quite a bit more expensive setup than usual budget setup people use, but hopefully it will run decently.

The pc you have is not a gaming pc.
At least not anymore.
Not trying to offend or anything, but that's how it is.
You will see some inprovemnts i think if what is shown in the video corresponds with reality..
I would get used parts if i were you,a non k (not stressed) i5 2500 for example will run fine even today.
That would be a big big improvement for you.
Jonathan,
PLEASE now record same video on AMD Polaris RX 460!!!

IF you want to demonstrate improvements YOU NEED to show it on AMD!!!
I had Nvidia card before, even slower than RX 460(the old GTX 560) and it has better performance in Path of Exile,
So you showing nothing for me here, and for other AMD Users!... this is just not fair!
WHY you even pick one brand, what about other one? So like 30% of the users to go to **** away?
thank the Gods for this...well and GGG mostly.

Worst-case refers to the longest amount of time it takes to render a frame, as opposed to the average frame rate. Slow frames are known as "spikes".

The major goal for 3.0.0 was to reduce the number of spikes so that the game always runs smoothly, even when there are a lot of skills being used.

In the first version of the Beta, we had already addressed quite a few places that CPU spikes were coming from.

One example of this is pathfinding. If there were a lot of enemies on screen, you would get a fast average frame rate, but would also get a lot of CPU spikes if many monsters chose to pathfind simultaneously. This is one of the many reasons why 3.0.0 Beta performance is better than 2.6.2.

In 2.6.2 I currently get short local lag/frame-rendering spikes when hitting and killing a large number of mobs with Freezing Pulse at the exact same moment. On a Core i7-6700K (Skylake) with a GTX 1080 @ 2560x1600. So you're saying 3.0 is going to solve that by reducing these frame spikes? If so that's awesome. If not...?
