Perception is reality.

It freezes my game almost every time with burning ground map mods.

Great news for those of us that play on shitty laptops. I've noticed the game running smoother on my piece of shit over the course of the year or so I have been playing this game. Thanks Johnathan, you guys are the best.

Unlike when we usually record video, we recorded this on a normal computer in order to demonstrate the difference that a regular user might be able to expect. Here are the specs:
Intel i5-6500
GeForce 1050 Ti
8 GB of RAM

I somehow doubt that most users would call such a setup, "normal" to be honest. The hardware is hardly a half year old if we look at the GPU and not more than two by the CPU.

Statistically, most people won´t have these pieces :)

That being said, improvements are always good, but I still think that porting to Vulkan is the only option right now. It could easily double or triple the FPS and this especially on older hardware.

POE´s problem are the draw calls and ovoerhead, as DX 11 is a high level API. Especially older CPUs with weaker single core performance, choke under it. At POE we have too much going on for the API in combination with the CPU, to handle. Vulkan fixes that, so does DX12, but I still feel Vulkan is better since everyone can use it, while DX 12 is bound to consoles and Win 10.

I fully understand they won´t have time for this within 3.0, they have their hands full, but the next big patch could focus purely on a new API and I am sure the playerbase would be ok with it.

Great! Performance is what i care about the most, having potato pc
This is complete garbage. Bcuz now instead of 0 fps on any resolution we're getting 30 fps or even lowerm but with 360p res.
Good job GeGeGe! (not)

The CPU is an i5 which is a very typical choice for gamers. The exact model isn't that significant in terms of performance. I still have a GTX 770 and I'm quite sure it beats the 1050 Ti.

The hardware might be fairly new, but it isn't especially powerful (far from it, imo).
