Dual Totem Dual Curse EK Witch level 83 6.1k dps ( Video and Guide )

I have a Dual IS Totem Witch, however, it's a CI Build and as a first toon, I cant do that much.
So, after reading a lot, I decided to go for a Dual EK Totem (without CI).
Well, my question is: Dual EK Totem with Iron Will Marauder would work as good as a Witch?
Thanks!

Why do you want to start as a Marauder exactly? Marauders shine when it comes to being tough. Easy access to powerful defensive nodes and all. With this build you don't really need to be all that tough.

It is doable but the way to EB is long. And I don't see an easy way around it, because the mana costs of dual totem dual curse builds tend to be heavy. You can compensate it but I don't think it's as efficient.

If it has to be a Marauder, I'd say you'll have to sacrifice most of the Shadow part of this build. So you lose dps, but you gain a lot of survivability. Which is never a bad thing, especially if you plan on playing HC. It is, however, not needed in my opinion.

Bump. Me and my non quality EK leveled :) Now I got 6.1k dps and 3.6k hp. I am done with picking hp nodes. Next passives will be spent on critical nodes.

Hey, how about this?

Witch

Got rid of the crit nodes
+20 health
+10% cast speed
+20 dex
+8% projectile damage
+4% fire damage
+12% fire resist

-10% elemental damage
All that crit gone

Not sure if it's an improvement. I don't feel like mathing it out at the moment

I made little but essential changes.

95 point

I chose not to take intelligence node path to the left from eldritch battery to get curses.
Instead I chose the path to the left from fire damage nodes and then go up to get the curses.
It has 2 points more than yours but in level 90 , it saves 1 passive point to get %18 fire damage node.

And at level 90 : ( which is reachable i guess ).

level 90

Well, I will aim for this build if elemental wins over crit. Im doing calculations right now :)

If crit wins over elemental :

level 91 crit build

It lacks some cast speed , %32 life node and %15 fire res.

I dont know if someone mentioned it already. But if you are going to do the level 90 build above with the fire damage nodes then you should take our the fire damage nodes and get the 3 elemental in the templar start and 2 in the shadow tree. Total this adds 34% elemental dmg...which is 34% cold, and 34% fire together. Just going fire only adds 60% fire total. Which is less effective. You can ony spend 5 points even though you remove 7 beacuse you have to take 2 additional int nodes to connect at the witch start.

I'm currently thinking an attempted CI version of this build. My only forseeable issue is mana. I'd need somthing like 15-1600 in order to make it work. Right now I see an effective way taking mana flows in the witch tree, and the witch start. But I don't think is the most effective. I think I'll have to wear at least a dream fragment and get a ton of max mana gear. Doable. Gonna try it since im bored of pulsing and eking all day already.

I totally gave up on elemental build. Figured out critical build is more efficient.

I don't think CI is efficient though, because mana issues as you stated. You probably won't be able to run Haste and EK with spell totem's mana cost is already huge.

Right now, I have 2.4k total mana and 700 effective mana. Sometimes, I can't cast second totem because of mana shortage.
The build would be the same a a dual spark totem witch so if in case it doesn't work I can switch. I'd need a lot of max mana gear. I would be running purity clarity and disc so the dps would be lower. It would be lower by even since i'd probably have to use fork. We'll see how it goes.
If you have the means to handle your mana, I really think you will be fine.

CI should work like a charm, most certainly it's even better (regeneration, chaos immunity and all the good stuff).

Report back in and tell us how you faired, will you?
is it possible to support totems with IIR and IIQ gems? in that way, hows the dps. thanks in advance!
Yep no problem. I wont be home for a couple days so it'll be over the weekend.

I dropped Faster Casting and Added Fire Damage on my 5L and put both IIR and IIQ. Dps became 3640. Still viable.

On a side note, I won't be updating this build anymore I guess, since I pretty much did everything I want. Maps are too easy for me ( except map Piety ) and became kinda boring. Leveling is pointless for me and getting 72+ maps is pain in the ass.
