Community Translators Needed

Yo,

while i had translated some things (MoO3,) i have to state
that the language in PoE is not common english.
It is rather literary than usual, and requires some
knowledge of english literature, history, and it requires
practice.

I'd be proud to be part of it but i dont think that
I would be sufficient for it. And, i am at the exact
opposite position of the globe :) despite Im a native
german speaker.

have Drops!
Forgot to add something, how are you going to translate modifiers like more damage and added damage? those have to be well translated so its clear that they are different things.

Bonjour,

I am a software localization specialist for FR language (FR, BE and native French Canadian speaker).

I have worked in translation for a while now, and would be honored to work on this game which I have enjoyed for quite a few years now. How do I apply???
Hey GGG. Can you also translate it to Danish? No Dane are going to use it, but I need a job.

Interesting Points About Translating

Hey there friend. I'm also a native speaker and also applied to do the Spanish translation for GGG. In my opinion there is a little bit of mixture of quite everything. There are a LOT of examples of translated names that are just part of Latin American Culture:

-Supercampeones instead of Captain Tsubasa
-Los Caballeros del Zodíaco instead of Saint Seiya
-Oliver Atom instead of Tsubasa

And a long list of etc. So where do we draw the line? Why do we agree so eagerly on TIRO DE REMATE or TIRO CON CHANFLE but we hate so much ONDA VITAL? Those are very interesting questions for us translators. When GGG decides who will be the ones doing the translation I believe communication is key.

We must not forget that just as there are casual players who have never reached lvl 60 but play this game from time to time, there are casual speakers for whom language IS a barrier. Those people would not be mad if we translate JUGGERNAUT into something while the former WILL get mad that we do.

Impresionante!
Are you sure you don't need another Spanish translator?

I do localization professionally for Latin America and Spain Spanish, and even within latin America my clients and I break it down even further by country and their different idioms, dialects, and wording.

Let me know, I can send a resume over.
when polish?

You should have contrated me to work on Brazilian translations, as well on brazilian pathofexile website.

It is incredible stupid the guy that is working on poe-brazil-website-translations. He probably use google translator and the result is just a fucking joke. xD

Mjolnir and all other Maces of the game still being called in poe-br as "Maças" what means "apple" to us. I have no fucking idea who's the retarded translating this game to portuguese.

A correct word would be "Porrete". I can't count all bad translations poe have to pt-br. If I was a new translator I would delete everything and start from the beginning. Really.

Not sure if you're trolling or you're just stupid.
You would be a great translator to begin with, like "contrated" is that even a word? "porrete"? Really?
Please, DO NEVER APPLY to any translation job, do yourself a favor.
I am from Brazil, and believe me the translation is pretty good.
did anybody actually get an answer from Wilson? I mean it seemed very weird the applications would have to be sent to him personally in the first place...

and yes, I sent it in the first 24 hours. just want a confirmation that my email was at least read.
since I have no hope for significant game design improvements in this game I am officially done with Path of Exile. done for good
