Well, seeing that the game isn't even finished yet, I don't think open beta would be a good option at this time. This closed beta is great to stress test various mechanisms, to find various bugs and to get feedback on the overall gameplay and other aspects of the game. But before they can turn this into a full open beta, the game would need to be mostly finished... plus, they would need to be sure that they have enough servers in place to handle all the players.

If people demanding keys give them too much sh*t, they can always stop letting people into closed beta altogether, remove the timer and just continue testing with the beta team they have now.

How many people sit around and wait for to get some key for a game. It is a sad thing to think that there are people in this world that have nothing to do with there time that to sit in front of there comps. for a few days and wait to get a game key. I must admit that this looks like an awesome game but please leave Chris alone and let him do his job and get a life.
