PLEASE READ: Forum/Beta Invite News

I have been following the game since it was revealed and even promoted it at my website, yet I can't get a Beta key.

I am really pissed at the execution of this beta key campaign.
Maybe they should send out REALLY big number of keys so they can test the servers for retail ;)

This is really good. Thanks for the updates.

This whole process is a learning experience for everyone! That's the challenge of being a small indie studio. We've been trying to take everyone's views into consideration when planning how to react to feedback. It's never going to be exactly how everyone wants it, unfortunately, because of the nature of such a small scale beta (at least at first). How do you suggest we do things differently?

I think you're doing quite well for a first big mmo project for such a small indie studio. You've already learned a lot from the whole beta key process, and I think the current iteration is a good and fair option for everyone (still haven't got my beta key, but at least now I can be at peace with that, as the process feels a lot fairer now). The only thing I would recommend for next time, is to make sure that right from the start, the beta timer page and the beta registration page are on a different server than the main site and the forums.

Hope, that I'll get a key too - looks interesting.
Tested some beta games in the last years, so I have some experience in this business :)
Thank god they are actually spreading it to giving randoms and veterans because there was too many randoms getting keys that signed up for the game, and haven't been on since. They probably forgot about the game by now.
What exactly is considered veteran? I've been a member for almost a year, and posted once or twice before beta began. Am I considered veteran?
that would interest me too
So refreshing to have devs being so proactive and thrusting themselves in the heart of the community. It's probably the reason so many people were quick to take arms to a lack of beta invitations. Now you see why so many devs for other games opt to keep a watchful eye on their communities without really getting involved. It sets the bar high for community expectations and they don't want to be held accountable.

So, even more credit is deserved for your continued level of involvement and improvement despite the impatient outcries. If it wasn't evident to me before that this game would be very well supported post-release, it certainly is now. Keep up the good work!

(Furthermore, I wonder how many people realize just how necessary it is that they scale their servers UP rather than DOWN. This is a free-to-play game made by an indie group after all. They don't exactly have the cash to deploy super-servers all over the place first and scale back after the fact.)

Ahh! Quick! Edit your post before you're caught! As the FAQ says, they hate it being called an MMO. :P
