Just imagine how the would go nuts if the shooter was a Trump supporter.

Stupid democrats would only ramp up their fake news agenda and call for Trump to be impeached because of it.

well in Canada btw we had one Trump supporter who killed 6 muslims. At first they thought it was a terrorist attack because one of the two people arrested was a muslim, then it was a straight white man who got arrested. They ranted about it for months, and our governement made a special law against "islamophobia"

I don't remember the person being a Trump supporter (at least, it wasn't said).

That would be a more interesting comparison - incidents vs incidents. I'll have to look and see how they define mass shootings - is it 3+ or 4+ and if they are counting a suicide shooter in those counts.

It's also important to consider that the whole war with ISIS is considered as terrorism instead of warfare (they do both, but everything is put into terrorism).

The war casualties from ISIS direct attacks on enemy troops aren't in those counts. ISIS blowing up a local ice cream parlor would be though.

Still, I have to correct my mistake earlier and admit you were completely correct about the extensive gun violence. One of our elected leaders Terry McAuliffe, governor of Virginia informed the world how bad the gun violence is, stating the following, not once, but saying it three times.

"We lose 93 MILLION Americans a DAY to gun violence"

No wonder we need all that immigration to sustain our population!

The journalist did point out the absurdity of the number and he did correct himself after realizing his mistake. Still funny even though the subject isn't

Nice leak to deflect, a liberal specialty. Trump needs to shit can Democrat Mueller and his whole team

Trump would need a smoking gun showing Mueller guilty of intent to corrupt the process. Failing that, the blow back would be worse than the investigation. If you look at how Trump handled Comey, you will see how Mueller will be handled. I think Trump will let it all play out to a fizzled end of nothing, here's why:

1) The left is going to try to "impeach" him as long as he is president. If "Muh Russsia" narrative goes away, it will just be something else. If Trump and his team did nothing wrong, then it is best to have the DNC focus their efforts on what will prove to be a flop. Trump offering to testify tells me he isn't worried about this at all - more of an annoyance, like crazy neighbors who scream at each other all night.

2) Mueller and all those in the Deep State that work diligently to bring Trump down have just identified themselves as corrupt apparatchik. "You're Fired" over and over again for those who remained hidden, but just couldn't resist the bait of possibly getting Trump out of office. It would be like taking down Osama Bin Laden for them, they won't be able to resist.
Expect a lot of job openings at the NSA, CIA and FBI as the case wraps up.

3)Aside from providing busy work for the nefarious hands of the DNC, Trump is also building an election mentality amongst the people. The DNC has completely forgotten what happened to the GOP when they went after Bill Clinton again and again and again and again. I don't think the burnout on Resisting and Impeaching Trump will effect the 2018 elections (too soon), but by 2020 a lot of the public that hated Trump will just have him on ignore mode, and they will actively hate the DNC for repeatedly failing to get anything done that they want.

To quote a previous POTUS - they are "misunderestimating" Trump, and will continue to lose as long as they do so.

Most of those losses are in our 51st through 57th states. I think Obama dispatched a bunch of corpsemen to help deal with the situation.

Terrorism events are extremely rare compared to the amount of indivuals on the planet, compared to mass shooting. Heck, some of those mass shooting are considered act of terrorism and go in both category.

I bet the US has more mass shooting than there's act of terrorism world wide.

Really? There have been 1,151 terrorist kills in the last 19 days, that's 60.58 per day which would be over 22,000 in a year. Before you say anything about this month being special, let's look at the total number of people killed by terrorists in 2015 (Using that number since the 2016 Crime in the US data isn't available yet for comparison)

Terrorism 27,594

How does that compare with US shooting deaths (mass and otherwise)

There were 15,696 total murders and non-negligent manslaughter in the U.S. (counting all 50 states, plus Guam and the Virgin Islands). 71% of those deaths involved fire arms which leaves us with 11,144 killed by firearms in the US in 2015.

That means terrorists killed almost two and half times as people killing others with guns in the US.

Good thing you didn't actually wager any money.

Now if you had said illegal drug use in the US has caused more deaths than Terrorism and Guns in the US combined, you'd probably be right as illegal drugs killed at a record rate in 2016. 2017 may be worse.

"Drug deaths in the U.S. rose at the steepest rate ever to the highest level in recorded history in 2016, claiming more than 60,000 lives"

That's nice and all (well, not really because you know, death and murder) but I was talking about occurence and not death toll.

It's also important to consider that the whole war with ISIS is considered as terrorism instead of warfare (they do both, but everything is put into terrorism).

Or to put in other way terrorism is a tactic not a group. I don't consider their war on terrorism a just war. It is rather to further America's interest.

Interesting train of thought. I guess I too misunderestimate him because he's doesnt seen all the bright and not much experience but Bannon has both high intelligence and working in the swap so maybe he's navigating this trap. One issue is Trump cant get anything done due to RINOs playing "russia ball" Wall dead, HC dead, immigration holds dead, Trade deals renegotiated dead, Infrastructure projects dead, etc so even if it all goes away the base may not show in 2020 getting absolutely nothing asked for and he campaigned on. Maybe TPTB want it this way though. Do nothing and Russia spectacle is best way to do nothing. Obama didnt get anything done but making insurance companies stock prices triple.

I've always looked at Trump as "hope and change" for right wingers. They will leave similarly disappointed.
