So far I'm doing a regular bowrauder build with IR and BM, though now that I got to merciless I wish I didnt take BM so I could have more auras...

Not well
I've had a think, and I decided I would alter the build slightly.
I'd take the 18 points out of the pierce path (loss of 35% pierce, arrow dodging, acrobatics, 20% physical bow dmg, alchemist) and spend 15 of them where you originally had them in the duelist area (14% atk speed, 30% projectile dmg, 24% life, 1% more regen and 30 dex). The other 3 points could go wherever you like, probably the 30% elemental weapon dmg in the middle. There's also a cluster of 4 atk speed nodes in the middle you have access to for +15% atk speed.

Projectile damage is nice because it increases all the damage you do, aura bonuses, elemental/physical static mods etc. Atk speed is nice too since it works on your modified damage (more hits, more applications of static bonuses. I prefer atk speed to straight +dmg passives.

But yeah, overall I love this build. It looks like the ending I needed to the unfinished build I posted a while back.
That change means the lost of the Faster Attacks gem. A quality level 20 faster attacks is much better than having to have a pierce node there, and this build is designed to work well with acrobatics, as its pretty much free damage negation.
Well the curse alone is around 66% chance to pierce once levelled up and +quality. Depends how much you want 100%?

Acrobatics is imo one of the best bang 4 buck investments in terms of damage mitigation. You're right about that, it's a nice passive. Shame there's no points to evolve it further.


I reckon static blows will be getting a nerf soon, as well as the upper-west portion of the board. It's just far too easy to link all the hp nodes, inner focus, static blows and 50% elemental dmg together atm. If that happens and duelist gets buffed, it would be nice to spend the points closer to home.
