Anyone tried a Vaal Temple Map? I just got my ass kicked by one, losing 40% experience to level 91. I killed two of the bosses but the cycloner ended up killing my army. I'm pretty sure they were dead if they weren't Hexproof, which forced me to drop TempChains and Enfeeble for Arctic Armor and Discipline.
Other than that and an increased damage Core map, I've completed my atlas just before Guardians and unique maps. Anyway, I only hit a Vaal Temple because of my Atlas strategy I've been doing. Since murdering map bosses is the best thing animate weapon does, I've been 4 chisel + alch + Vaal Orb my highest tier maps. It doesn't really matter what the mods are because the boss dies unless it has invincibility of some kind. The Overgrown Chaos warband just dies, and especially Rigwald in Dark Forest is particularly easy. Daresso did kill my army at 5% but I portal and put Culling Strike on my Flame Dash to finish him. The Vaal Temple trio gets free heals but the problem is their AoE damage kills my weapons. I was bringing in fresh batches of 12 daggers and also Transmuting them, but it wasn't enough, I'll try again with Max gems. I did kill normal Atziri but I was level 90 and it was REALLY tight - I will run Increased Duration over Melee Splash next time. Vaaling these high level maps let me complete most of my atlas piecemeal without buying red maps. I use any unique map drops as a ticket into a rotation so I get extra completions of other maps. I leveled up an Enlighten to level 2 and use that on my Blasphemies. That frees up just enough mana for a level 1 Clarity in an Unset ring so that I get +20% all res from Commander of Darkness (because Generosity inside United in Dream). |

Tried Golemancer, was ok.
Mapping was good. Breachs was a death trap. Swapped back to AW, but full on CI. My profile has the tree, and here is gear for those interested. 14k ES atm. I love pie.

Interesting setup for CI. I saw Ziz's CWC version which seems nice but is missing out on any defensive curses which is very helpful for minions in a lot of cases.
I can tell you're either not running one of the curses or envy or something. You could potentialyl get Envy running if you get a Heretics and use level 4 enlighten + conqueror's efficiency and you'll have 13% mana free without clarity. Also on your CI tree you're missing the minion regen + res wheel, that's pretty important if you can get it. That'll cap your minions when in range of your aura without any minion res jewellery. It also gives them passive regen which is more helpful than you'd think even with 5% leech. If you get 2 rings with minion movement speed it should work pretty nicely ------ For those that have seen the CWC version on Zizaran's stream, there's obviously a few advantages and disadvantages. For 1, CWC can struggle a bit more in Breaches with Beyond on the map. I've run a lot of high tier maps with Beyond on them, and the idea in breaches is you should be spamming flesh offering a LOT. This protects you from Bameth, who not only can't be cursed, but has Vaal Detonate Dead. It also raises the cast speed of your totem immensely because of SPirit Eater procs (2% increased cast speed per corpse consumed in the last 4 seconds - this adds up to a RIDICULOUS amount of cast speed!) If I really want to be safe, I switch Flesh Offering to Faster Casting for some beyond maps instead of Convocation so I can delete the corpses faster. The reason I beyond maps at the moment is because of more loot, more xp, and more chances at good bases. Steel Rings and Crystal Belts are 40c+ in BHC at the moment. It's also one of the safest builds for Beyond breaches at the moment. For 2, his build currently doesn't have Defensive Curses. This CAN be solved with a Heretic's Veil and some more aura reservation reduction though, as stated above. This also makes the pathing for the 2nd duration cluster much easier which will help a ton for that build. The decision of his to go CWDT Immortal Call instead of having a guardian is reasonable. He's gonna be super tanky, but he's gonna run into a few situations where his minions are constantly dying and that's really the issue here. The amulet being a chayula instead of a movement speed amulet is solvable. Scorn Essence gloves + leo 5 helmet + ranger nodes for 5 points = stun immunity if it adds to 100%. Alternatively I suppose he could get 80% stun avoid enchant on boots but I don't like that, it's not reliable enough for me. The other reason I'm not the biggest fan of CI is that Bone Offering on maps where your minions really need it also helps you survive as well. 594 HP healed on block? This kind of stuff is REALLY helpful for the life version. I could stand in the middle of most perandus packs and not give a shit when doing the coffer challenge. That's not to say Ziz's build is bad. I'm just pointing out the differences and where there may/will be some differences and problems. He hasn't played it for long enough, I'm not expecting him to know everything about the build right off the bat and it's capabilities obviously. There's a lot of stuff I should be discussing more about, I suppose. I spent a long time the last few days theorycrafting new stuff and looking at the alternate versions of this build. It's interesting to say the least. ------- Also on teh note of Vaal Temple, I haven't tried it, it's mostly physical so it wouldn't surprise me that there are problems. I've heard people did Core but it seems so annoying and I hate the map anyways so meh. Yes, if you're playing this build you should get an Enlighten level 2 and put it on your curses with Blasphemy. That way you can run a level 1 clarity. Take stone golem off the fortify + minion life, it doesn't need it since you can recast it when you need to bring it back up. My setup looks like this now. Don't bother with heretics + enhance, it's honestly pointless and barely does anything because there's caps to how effective curses can be lol.

Also for those wondering why i get so much ES on my gear? Because your ES doesn't regenerate as easily as your life does. When taking a bunch of hits, you're often more likely to run out of ES before you run out of life because you have life pots. Current IGN: twitchtvTheuberelite

Just ran all my breach stones. It's a cakewalk - can get north of 100 weapons. The zones seem custom built for animate weapon on a spell totem - the bosses die in 2 seconds so their mechanics don't matter.
Reparations for Shaper's Realm, I'd say. I killed the Minotaur - first time ever. Map mods were easy. I'm assuming I should stick to Minotaur and Phoenix and trade my Hydra and Chimera maps for them? I need a Blood of Corruption before trying Phoenix. I have been running a "bricked map" service of sorts. I buy a Tier 15 corrupted map for say 9c which is the normal cost for a white one, but I save the 4 chisels, alch, and Vaal. I can also guarantee it has pack size and lacks Hexproof or "monsters can't be slowed below base speed". Ther seems to be plenty of these "bricked" maps with reflect/no regen-like mods for sale that don't hurt animate weapon. I have always gotten a "+0" map drop back thanks to my 113/126 atlas completion, so it seems to sustain itself. It's probably profitable if I was better at aggressively selling all my tier 14 and below maps. For example, I bought a 9c Core with over +50% packsize + sea witches + beyond. Cleared it just fine, even the Breaches, but because Convocation has a cooldown the Eater of Souls does kill weapons so I had to bring 12 daggers per portal for 4 portals. I had 5 generic stash tabs full of daggers but I've eaten heavily into this supply (it takes one tab to clear Uber lab, which I do whenever I get a lab Prophecy). When the bosses are super hard like these tier 15+ corrupt maps, I save a breach on the map to return to before sprinting to the boss arena so I have 50+ weapons. I've only died once in a breach so far - chayula bullets can kill me because my chaos resistance is bad. So now when I notice it's Chayula I hug the edge of the breach to run away if I have to. Increased Duration (instead of Melee Splash) does turn 3 normal Atziri runs into cake. Helped that she never did her add phase. I just killed Vaal Temple for the first time ever. Lack of Hexproof was a big deal (monster aoe, monster phys damage reduction, monster resistance, monster accuracy, player unlucky dodge, boss damage+speed). I swapped my Vaal Haste for a Vaal Grace (with Generosity) but my 33 weapons still died, but lasted longer (probably from my curses mostly). The next 30 weapons finished it, I just followed the cycloner to the corner and drank potions + convocation. I am enjoying the build so far.
Hit lvl90 and died 3 times since the switch to AW. Once to bears and twice to the vaal temple bosses. Killed the titty bitch, got the cycloner down to 50% hp but got than one-shotted. Couldn't kill the bosses even with a full inventory of dageers, died a second time to the cycloner (someelse finished the bosses for me). Besides this I can delete every single boss in the game. It is a blast for mapping and beyond + breaches. BTW I do not try to animate 70+ weapons, otherwise the lagg becomes an issue (highest I got was 120+ weapons in a breach domian). My gear at lvl 90 (6k hp/4.5k ES):
