[2.6] Chaos Animate Weapon Necromancer (EHC level 100!)

"
This build is based off the skill, Animate Weapon. Animate Weapon has an EXTREMELY high base damage, meaning any flat damage added to it is scaled immensely. On top of that, you have high numbers of weapons throughout the map.

If something has extremely high base damage, it should technically mean that added damage is much less effective.

Example would be, that if you have an ability with 1000 base damage, adding 10 damage to it is not very effective. Where as if you have an ability with 1 base damage, adding 10 damage would be very effective.

You probably ment something else with the "Extremely high base damage" part, Or i'm just misunderstanding it myself.

Regardless though, nice build.
It has over 250% base dmg at lv20 meaning every added dmg is multiplied by 2.5

In the section "transitionning to Animate Weapon"
Im constantly trying things out and currently running skin of the loyal (mainly for colors) self cast AW with minion speed. Qol slightly lower than totem but overall dps and clear speed much better. Single minion is much more powerfull without totems "less" modifier and minion speed makes them clear everything in advance, before I even get there. +1 to chaos gems is also nice. Currently its good for mapping, even breaches dont seem to be a problem. But breachstones are propably still need totem do keep up
Hey this build is very cool. Im using 4link srs to start mapping it helps a lot, dont need to collect weapons to start mapping. This build can even use shield charge+fortify easily, we got a lot of aps and ms.

Got my United in Dream! I was using Severed in Sleep for maybe two weeks to farm 3ex to get a Blessing of Chayula.

Some differences I'm running with:

* Animate Guardian is in my weapon so that I can weapon swap him out to save him. That does break my Envy aura but trying it. I'm thinking of also moving my Vaal Haste there so that Vaal Haste + Generosity is super steroids for Breaches.
* I have 6 Zombies in my helm so also the +%phys resistance ascendancy instead of the Chaos one. My helm randomly got +36% zombie ele resist which doesn't matter enough, need a Bone Helmet or Animate Weapon uber enchant
* I also have a level 1 Clarity in an Unset Ring so my team always has +20% ele resist.
Lets talk about Spirit Offering. This can replace Flesh Offering (Bone still good for def), Im running this more and more. Benefits:

- additional resistances (we are capped anyway but sometimes minions can be cursed so it helps)
- additional DPS - almost 30% phys added as chaos which is quite a lot depending on weapon base. Gem adds some phys so overall this is like another Envy buff I dare say

- ES from consuming bodies. This not only provides minions with more "life" but solves all our ES regen problems. Running unique flask is not necessary anymore, I switched to Rumis. In breaches when you get stomped and your ES is depleting fast you can get it all in 1-2 Offerings and you get even more max ES to fuel MOM (from 3.4k to 5k in my case). Also very useful in reduced regen and no regen maps, no more waiting for ES recharge
Can someone explain why the dps goes smaller on minions/aw's when i place generosity on the weapon ?

Tooltip damage isn't actually represented correctly at all. It basically uses information based off your cast speed and how much damage you would do per cast. It's not the actual attack damage.

Never use tooltips on minions to figure out your damage. It's completely inaccurate. Basically, if you were to wear 2 axiom perpetums for example, your tooltip would go up because of the cast speed and the added damage to spells, whereas the minions wouldn't actually be doing any extra damage.

If you're using the sword and remove the Added Chaos gem, you'll notice the tooltip DPS goes completely away. If you remove the Minion Damage gem instead, the tooltip doesn't change either.

As for spirit offering, it does add damage, I haven't actually tested it in comparison to flesh offering but I really like the movement speed on flesh offering.
