2.6 CI Ignite Flameblast by Waldgaist - very good starting Build and decent Shaper farmer
" The idea is that the orb of storms hits the target while it is already ignited (again) to lower the resistance once again. (Orb -> Flameblast hit -> orb -> Flameblast burn) On targets that this wouldn't happen in time it doesn't really matter anyway, if they died too fast. I am not sure about the penetration, I am also wondering if the penetration matters so much or if it's only there for the targets that avoided curse or hid from the proper EE effect... ✠ ✠

Really loving the build waldgaist. It's been years since I've played and I'm really glad this is the build I decided to jump into with my return.
1st question... I'm noticing both in Breach and Essence you leveled your CWDT to level 9 and Immortal Call to level 4. I know I've posted a few times regarding these gems, but is there any way you can explain why you've decided this is the sweet spot to stop at? The CWDT being at level 9 would allow for a skill gem of level 54 or lower, which would allow for Immortal Call being able to be leveled until 11. However since we don't use endurance charges the increased duration per endurance charge doesn't effect us at all. At first I thought it was a strength cap, but then I remembered that Doryani's requires 113 strength. (tl:dr) Now why not just keep them both at level 1 for the 528 damage threshold to proc the short invulnerability as often as possible? 2nd question... how would Shavronne's Wrappings work into this build? It would free up a passive point, and then allow us an additional buffer of our health pool without having to pick up CI. My guess is the lowered ES isn't worth the swap, but I was just curious what you thought about it. (even though these questions have been directed at waldgaist, I'd appreciate any insight into these questions as my knowledge of the game is quite old and outdated) |

" Because I am curious if empower 4 > fire penetration I have mastermind -25% flat res, doesn't get reduced as curses do + EE, should already be enought, I guess. http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Resistance_penetration Please look at image "Efficacy of 10% resistance penetration versus resistances" It seems when res are close to 0, or small minus, is best. After that point returns are minimal damage wise. |

Hi everyone
I have to ask a question: When using flameblast with Inc. Area of Effect the Pizza stack's are quick to reach 10 stacks. During Boss fights using Concentrated effect the Pizza stack's are darn slow. But damage with this gem is great. I also have faster casting gem in set up 20/20. I also have two jewel's that giver me increased area of effect.(20+) Anyone wants to explain, why quick versus slow stacks. All I do swap the above gems. Tnx in advance. " Conc does not affect the cast speed and therefore it does not lower the stack time. Do not look at the area. You have to look at your buffs. Conc just lower your flameblast size so it does feel slower but in truth it isn't. |

" I have tried Low Life with a triple curse setup and it wasn't that great. That was before the new Eye of Chayula tho. I like to have my cwdt procs every 10% of my max ehp so ive choosen a lvl 9 cwdt. |

Hej i'm currently lvl 50. Flame blast dps is nice enough but i dont ignite very much. I do when conflux. At Lower levels is IT good to swap out faster casting for chance to ignite or hoe do u guys deal with this?
