have you tought of adding a visual keypad code to limit keylogger posibilities ?
i think lineage 2 has (or had) it on some way. you login with your normal login/psw and then you are asked to click on a randomly sorted numpad a 4 digit code that you initialy "clicked" on your first login (since measure implementation). this could limit password thief via key/mouse loggin. | |

This location based account locking thing is only good for people using static IPs, which most European ISPs are not. Sucks that GGG wont get our items back. You would think before even going into "open beta" they would have their security working the right way.
They should have had some type of system that logs peoples past items, etc. This is terrible excuse on their own. This is a ALWAYS ONLINE DRM, and they SHOULD have account issues their main priority! | |

well im getting locked every day.
Its always from germany (i live there) in a bigger city nearby. as it was already pointed out by Boehm and others, this is due to the IP changing my provider does. Im happy that GGG reacted so fast to the hacking attacks and came up with something. I have never seen a company taking so much care of a game as GGG does(new patch almost everyday).especially since its a rather small comapany and the game is still in beta. Well I rather type in an unlock code every day, if it prevents theft, than getting all my stuff stolen. It doesnt really take much effort to copypasta the unlock code. But actually this cant really be a long term solution in my opinion. |
