Hello! Thanks for this guide. Quick question though, how do you have 8 auras running on 5% local reduced mana in your calculator? Deafening Essence of Loathing can only be used on helm, right? I'm running the calculations myself and I must be missing something, because I'm only seeing the ability for 8 auras - disc/Haste/Grace/Purity in helm, and then Anger/Hatred/Wrath/Clarity.

Hello, the mod affix gained from the Loathing essence is global, so you can type in 41% mana reserved, and then select the Conqueror's Efficiency. Or if you'll craft with Deafening you don't need the jewel for 8 auras.

If you want more than 8 you'll need to do as Sunleonid, with the Prism Guardian and an enlighten, making it possible for him to run more auras/blasphemey's.

Took about 1 minute to kill, which feels lacking compared to 12 seconds from your other video. Maybe melee damage on full life isn't working properly. Will measure again when I get myself an empower 4 but it seems like Poison SRS isn't really the best way to go about.

If you turn on the life bars for your minions you should get a grasp of if the spirits are on full life most of the time or not. It would've been so nice though if the spirits didn't have that 50% phys to fire conversion :(

Bear in mind that I use lightning traps, that's a huge amplification of damage.

I'm gonna try shaper and report back.
Edit: Killed shaper on the 5th portal. Spirits just die too fast and you are pretty much forced to go AoE setup to survive the adds phase. Was meaning to record but I was dying too many times so didn't bother. All I can say is this build is shaper viable, barely

1) Why are you taking life on boots/helm/ring. Is it necessary?

2) Where are you getting dex? +14 on ammy is enough with the standard 114 point tree?

Nice, Congrats to the shaper kill! If you have a friend with good dps & dodging skills you might try to take on shaper together, it should be easier than solo.

I take the life on those items for two reasons. From:


You get 20% of your max life as ES, so it'll increase my ES by a bit, and it'll leave us with a slightly larger hp pool to cast spells with. So if you can get life on your gear it's a bonus, but do not focus on it.

In addition to the stats on the amulet you'll need some dex from either gloves, rings, or jewels, or any combination of them. I use a +45 dex ring myself. You can also use Haku or Eleron to craft some dex on rare items.

The be all end all setup for the poison variant:
8 Auras, 2 curses, and not using Prism Guardian anymore

Requires a 5% reduction helm from Deafening Essence of Loathing, a Conqueror's Efficiency, and a -8 mana cost unset ring

Barely leaves you with enough HP to cast stone golem and SRS (costs are 40 and 38 respectively)

Obviously this is absurdly expensive, but allows you to drop Prism and go over 10k ES. Setting this up may be my final league goal haha
