Yes, if you die, you lose your place in the ladder.
So you also lose the price for that place.

Also if you manage to get multiple characters into a rewarded place, the rewards will stack.

I would love to participate. Unfortunately previous events have happened during work hours :(

Liked better the currency rewards. The point and collectable are not for me, cause i know i don't have the time required to compete with most of the top players in this game.

I will probably participate in few of the races but for casual players there is no incentive right now imo.
