So far, a lot of us who have been hacked received random party invites from people who didn't reply to any messages, not long before we actually lost our stuff.
This is extremely useful information.
Please collect names and PM them to myself or any other moderators, and to account support threads if asked by the dev.
Just a point, if you can't remember the names you can likely find the information in your client.txt file in C:\Program Files\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile\logs\Client.txt
.

Don't get me wrong, but I can't be bothered for that. There's no way I will do GGG's job since they refuse to help me. They could have easily figured it out in the first week of the OB, since the hacking started, had they cared to prevent it. But, the lack of ANY actual security measures for the game makes it very clear on where they stand. PoE literally has no security features right now.
If they want to see how people got hacked, they should ask questions. Right now, all we get is "Sorry, nothing we can do." from both support and from GGG people on the forum.

I for one find it interesting that those in the top spots aren't being targeted or hacked.

its because the top players don't click on obvious phishing email links then complain on the forums about some mysterious "party invite" hack

Regular players are forced to read retarded comments like the one left by fpspro. Naturally, you wouldn't expect anything more from somebody named fpspro, but he proved my point.
In other words, hacking high profile players would actually make this into a higher profile case, whereas hacking random guys wouldn't make a dent.

the only retarded post here is yours. There is no hacking going on..just bad passwords and buying gold from chinese sites where you have to register first, and you register with your poe credentials ,-)

I’ve moved this to technical and account support. There was no huge hack, I’d suggest you look into ways to improve your security.
RIP Bolto

I logged on today and all of my good currency has gone. But gear was left alone.
Stop all this "get better security shit". I know how to use a PC
