Chris the problem with that statement, is that you outright blame the people who are the victims of this. I payed you people money because I had faith in your product, yet when i need your help, you go out of your way to make sure we know you won't help us. Sorry that just really seems unacceptable. I may be biased as i got hacked and gotten my entire game experience ruined, and i do understand you don't want to ruin the economy, however it really does appear that you're rewarding the ones who commited this crime, and further punishing the victims.

I wouldnt release open beta without a security measure like the one coming to start with...
With people hacked on this large scale you should just start a new league for those who got hacked or couldnt play hardcore because of desyncs

I guess, everyone understands that they simply cannot give stolen stuff back.
In addition to that it was cleary stated that nothing on their side has been touched, which means that , as rough as it probably may seem, it's the people's fault who made the mistakes Chris also stated. (re-using passwords, powerleveling, lack of java security and so on...).
Besides that, I don't think that the "gaming experience" should suffer from that.
If you really *LOVE* a game, you'd just start more or less again.
It's not that people lost currency worth 1-2-3 years of playing.

I would roll back whole server to 12 hours ago, and make everyone change there password.
This hack has been on a way to large scale, it totally fucked up the economy and many people quit playing because of it.

So when are you refunding me? I find it really funny that no one has directly contacted me yet I'm one of the only posters that make any legitimate post. Basically what I'm saying is you don't care, you say sorry blah blah blah but it means nothing to you.

The duplicate items issue you bring up is a poor poor poor poor excuse for treating paying customers this way. This will not crash the games eco system and never has in any game. D3, eco doesn't suck because blizzard allows roll backs. WoW eco system is not wacked out because blizzard replaces hacked items. these are the only 2 games I have experience in playing when it comes to hacked items so it'a all I can use.

Easy enough to check, if it took a few days for you to check everything to get my items back that would be fine.

I promises I have not been to china in my life, so if there was a Chinese IP that accessed my account.. 99% sure that it wasn't me and would be easy to find that item.

Like I've posted in my other comments, I personally don't give a shit about the orbs that are missing. The items that are gone make my only farming toon unplayable. if every one got 3-4 items restored and you were able to remove the old one (even if you weren't able to) The game will but out into anarchy and the game be over ran. This is absurd that you would think this.

1740 hours in open beta, 900 hours or so of played time. 800 hours of unplayed time. Am I High or low played?

This is open beta, we've tested your security. It sucks fix it and help us. Some of us have ppaid you and we get tossed under a bus with your. I don't give a shit attitude. Treating any customer like this is appalling and even paying ones.

I may be venting some frustration here, however i do find it odd that they're not doing anything to attempt any type of rollback or the sorts. I've seen people who got killed in hc because of a crash, to then be rollbacked into the hc league - there was also some high ladder guy who this happened to and they went out of their way to put him back into hardcore.

I just find it appalling that they're not trying to reach out and help especially since currency is just about everything in this game.

Yea, but a lot of people got hacked and if they'd rollback to 12 hours ago, for example, then players who didn't get hacked but progressed would be pretty screwed.
I could be wrong, but I guess that could be one of the reasons why a rollback wont happen.
