Actually a guaranteed 5L is only about 30-32 chaos on essence league.

Just buy the prophecy.

I did specify a few times that the build required some decent gear and worked a lot better with the old conflux.

Glad to see you're all still having fun tho.


I did make a new build, but it's PvP only so I'm not sure people would be interested.

Excuse me to ask, OP, could you make a clarification please? There is a discrepancy between your description, and the equipments+gems listed in your post.

It's for the headgear.

- First we have, in the equipment list
Curse On Hit Support + Summon Ice Golem + Herald Of Thunder + Assassin's Mark

- And then we have, in your follow-up description
CWDT + Increased Duration + Immortal Call + Summon Ice Golem

I hope it can be quoted properly, let me try:

I am inclined to believe it's your description that is correct, rather than the items list, because we already have curse on hit support linked to herald of thunder on the wand, so any hit we deal with spells gets bonuses from herald of thunder and triggers Assassin's mark, right?

But I'm far from being confident about it :D

The text description is what is accurate. The items and sockets I used moved around so I just linked my equipment. Don't pay attention to the actual links on them.

Is there a reason to keep Immortal Call at lvl2?
CWDT lvl9 supports gems requiring lvl54 or below, while Immortal Call lvl2 only requires lvl36.
Is it possible to convert this to a CI build?
Hi,

I have been following your build in PSC and i have a lot of questions about this build. While i am following your style as much as i can, i struggle to find equally as good gear. I have 3,3k life and 1,3k ES at level 80 and ~19k dps. My crit is 66% and around 80% with power charges (5). The problem i have is actual survivability. Often times i get stunned. I tried building life + evasion, but it's not going too well.
Here's what i wear:

I haven't done uber lab yet and my gear could use some work, but i can not understand why you wear so much ES gear, why is it that i get stunned at 3,3k life and exactly how to scale damage so high? Am i meant to scale lots of cold and fire damage or am i meant to scale the prolif damage? Do i just ignore the damage over time although that's our go-to for bosses?
What if i just stack like 5x Izaro's Turmoil jewels?

I am just curious if i could push this build to possibly touch uber atziri or shaper one day?
you just don't have any life on gear, just fix that.

Wow - I love this build! Thank you very very much for sharing.

Here's the variation I playing:

- I put dual curse into the passive tree set-up (Whispers of Doom) and added Poacher's Mark (PM) as a second curse; I went up the right side of the WoD node to get +10% effect of curses to make Assassin's Mark (AM) all the more nasty. Along with the stated benefits of PM, a +20% PM gem reliably brings forth 3 frenzy charges for faster casting and more damage.

- I put ice nova/spell totem/cold pen into the skill gem set-up

- I use the cold version of unique belt, Doryani's Invitation. (+30% inc cold dmg, cold dmg life leech, +10% freeze chance on flask use)

- I picked Hypothermia support to go with the Herald of Ice skill gem set-up.

In combat, I drop the ice nova totem in the pack and pause to let it fire off. Not only does it taunt (to add a third target for foes along with the 2 golems) but it often chills, helping with defense and setting the stage for Hypothermia and its huge more damage effect to chilled foes as well as increased chance to freeze. I pop flask(s) (health and 40% inc dmg for blue+ mobs) to get the +10% bump to freeze chance from Doryani's Invitation and enter the fray. +100% flask recharge in Poacher's Mark quickly refills those flask(s).

Of course, once Vortex is underway there's all the crazy and fast damage of critical strikes (6 power charges - at 95% CS cap), critical multipliers, and the magic of those overlapping Herald of Ice explosions from the many frozen enemies. AM, PM, Doryani's Invitation cold dmg life leech, and the popped health flask provide health and mana.

This has been a very fun build to play - I've tried and failed to get this play out of ice nova for years. Thank you again for putting this together and sharing - great stuff!

So apart form elemental conflux, what else has changed in 2.4? Or is that the only change that meant no screenwide icey death?
