What I've learned from this Beta

I don't get the sense of entitlement that people feel they deserve. You didn't help make this game. You signed up for a forum and a beta. Whoopee. So did everyone else that is or is not currently getting invited.

" Sure he did, as most of us crawling this forum for months. Before this "gimme beta key" madness, forum used to be a place with a lot of constructive debate about almost every aspect of the PoE. Many of suggestions that resulted out of those debates are implemented in PoE right now, and many will be implemented. People like darklord should have top priority when it comes to Beta invitations. " This is incorrect. The ACTIVE individuals on this forum, that registered and posted, have contributed far more then that person that Signs up August 9th at 02:00am. Its not entitlement issues, its what is right and what is wrong. The Forum Community has dedicated free time, when we knew beta was months away, to come on and converse and talk about a game we had been excited for, only to be told that it basically DOES NOT MATTER, and your just as valued as these non-active, 0 posters, who visted 2 minutes after their register date. Quite honestly, I am very turned off by this entire situation. " At the moment, there's huge bias towards forum posters (but everyone, please stop spamming!). We're also getting emails from people who don't post, concerned that their chances of getting in are reduced. I have to stress that there are *tens of thousands of people* who never logged into their account again but do check the forums and care about the game. We're not trying to be unfair with this process, but we can't select everyone immediately, so thanks heaps for your patience! We're approving almost every stream/screenshot/video we are asked about, so that you guys have plenty to see in the meantime. | |
