How do you guys level with this build? Its really hard to level with...
|
|
you dont level with it lol, i suffered through normal-merc a1 with freeze pulse 6 link in tabula 6k dps apparently is not enough to kill blue packs in cruel so i was getting really mad and at level 55 in a1 merc town i switched to volls protector and coc discharge (without going CI yet stil hybrid since crit isnt that great at that level yet dont have all crit nodes so cant leech fast enough sometimes if you get unlucky) but have 5 power charges and im blasting through merc ledge atm :D seemd good enough :D couldnt take that shit freeze pulse 6k dps and cant kill a single rare like how much did they boost monster life in this league jeez.

Ifeel ur pain, im currently at a1 cruel level 33, im planning to transition to coc with volls once i get 38. Dont know if its going to work though...
|
|
dunno man,i sadly doubt that it will work properly :( atm im 58 doing act 2 merc, and it says on cyclone i have 59% chance to cast spells on crits and on some packs it can take few spins to get the discharge to go off most of the time i would be dead there if i was pure CI, so your will be way lower (i guess?) not sure how will that work unless you get really tons of attack speed :S
btw grocery why are we not getting annihilation node? 95% spell crit for 3 nodes ? Last edited by idrgz#3846 on Jun 10, 2016, 1:59:42 PM

In regards to flasks:
Silver flask makes more sense than a basalt but I suppose its up to you out of preference. My five setup: Surgeons topaz flask of staunching Surgeons ruby flask of grounding Experimenters diamond flask of heat Surgeons silver flask of warding Surgeons Quicksilver flask of adrenaline As the op pointed out, you definitely want removals / immunities to bleed, freeze, curse, and shock. I find curses to be the least worrisome, or cumbersome, of the group, which is why i advocate warding to be placed on the silver or basalt as they have less uptime than the other more important immunities/removals. Any reason as to why you put bleed removal on the diamond? I find it doesn't really matter much where those go outside of the heavier charge users. |

Also should mention, I made it to 88 on hardcore perandus with a close build replicating this, so it is definitely hc viable. I died to the village map boss on a really nasty set of mods. I don't reccomend fighting anything with huge bleed damage as bleed will rape this build (and a lot of other tanky type builds).
I'm currently 85 on hc prophecy with the same variant. It's a fun build, but does need a few things before you can make the transition into it. -Level 70 -Vagan dagger, pref royal skean or poignard -5L Volls -Moderate ES gear -Merc Lab completed Anything less than the above and you'll struggle with it. |

" You don't switch to CoC until like level 65 or 70. Trying before will just make you want to kill yourself. I leveled just fine as Spark/Firestorm. For my current builds, thoughts and videos.

" DONT SWITCH AT 38. Switch at high 60s early 70s. You should be using popular leveling spells. Do not use Freeze Pulse. Freeze Pulse blows. Flame Blast, Spark, Firestorm, EK, etc. All level easy. For my current builds, thoughts and videos.
